Therapy is not easy and sometimes our natural response is to run away from things that require us to look deep within ourselves.

If you feel as though therapy isn’t working for you, ask yourself these questions, it could be that you’re not doing the work outside, or being truly honest with yourself or it could be that you don’t “click” with you therapist/counsellor - all of these are completely normal responses.

If you feel as though you haven’t built trust with your therapist/counsellor - switching to a new counsellor/therapist might be what you need for you to feel that therapy is working.
