Nazareth House Manchester

This afternoon we celebrated National Teddy Bear Day by learning some fun facts, then having a quiz about bears with a cuppa and some Teddy shaped biscuits. We also listened, and sang along to, some Teddy themed music. Finally our lovely residents were given their own little Teddy to keep.

Yesterday Heather attempted a sponsored walk around the care home grounds at Nazareth House Manchester, pushing residents in their wheelchairs. Unfortunately, they only managed 6 laps of the grounds before the heavens opened. Not to be deterred, Heather put her raincoat on and continued without the residents managing a total of 18 laps which was over 26,500 steps! Her legs and feet are quite sore now but it was worth it to raise funds for our residents. Well done Heather!

We had a fantastic Summer Party this week at Nazareth House Hammersmith. 🌿

Although the sun didn’t make an appearance, Georgia’s wonderful singing created a joyful atmosphere that truly brightened the day. Our sincere thanks also go to Eugenio and Bogdan, whose hard work at the BBQ ensured everyone enjoyed delicious food throughout the afternoon.

Our residents had a brilliant time celebrating together, and it was lovely to see the party continue with such energy and smiles long after the raffle and entertainment had finished.

The Sisters dancing was the finale to an amazing day!

Events like this remind us of the importance of creating opportunities for connection, joy, and community within our care home.
