Our medication line (option 4 on our phone lines) will be closed this afternoon (Tuesday 21 April) from 1pm, and will reopen at 8:30am tomorrow morning.

If you have a medication query, please either:

Did you know about the Lancaster Walk with a Doc group? 🚶🚶‍♀️

The walk is with a doctor 🩺 and includes a short update on a health-related topic followed by time to chat with fellow walkers.

The group meet every Tuesday at 2pm on the Lancaster side of Millennium Bridge - the perfect opportunity to get some gentle exercise and enjoy the spring weather ☀.

We will be closed from 1:00pm today for essential staff training and we will re-open at 8:00am tomorrow (Friday 17 April).

A spring booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is available for people at the highest risk of serious illness:

1️⃣ Everyone aged 75 and over
2️⃣ Immunosuppressed people aged 6 months and over
3️⃣ Residents in care homes for older adults

If you’re eligible for the COVID-19 booster, or you know somebody that is, we're taking appointment bookings now!

📲 Use the NHS App (Click on the services icon ▶ Check for available GP appointments ▶ Start ▶ Select COVID VACCINE by invite only)

🚶‍♀Speak to a member of the reception team when visiting one of our sites.

🚧 Advance notice – improvements coming at Owen Road! 🚧

We’re making some improvements to our facilities at Owen Road to provide more consultation rooms for patients and refresh office space for our teams!

The work will take around three months to complete, starting on Monday 27 April. It will be done in a way that keeps Owen Road open, but access to some areas of the site will be restricted for safety reasons.

If you visit Owen Road during this time, please:
⚠️ Follow any signage in place,
❌ Stay away from restricted areas where work is taking place, and
🚶 Take extra care.

Patients can continue to do their usual activities such as drop prescriptions and samples off, as well as visit the reception team at Owen Road for help – the site may just look a little different when you stop by!

Our phone lines can get very busy, but did you know that you don’t have to wait in the call queue? 📞📞

We’re trialling an automated telephone system called Patches telephone assistant to help manage calls more efficiently and reduce waiting times.

🔵 The telephone assistant is an additional option on our phone lines that you can select (option 2).
🔵 By choosing option 2, you will skip the call queue and leave a voice message with the telephone assistant and hang up.
🔵 We will then review your request, and contact you advise of next steps.
