Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Lancaster University Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme at Lancaster University, Lancashire, United Kingdom

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme is a three-year full-time programme which leads to eligibility to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and for Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Trainees work as trainee clinical psychologists (band 6) in the NHS with study time for on-campus teaching and individual research. As part o

f ethos on the Lancaster University DClinPsy course, we are trying to widen participation amongst our prospective trainees. We would like Lancaster to be accessible to everyone, people from diverse backgrounds with a broad range of individual experiences! We would like to gain peoples’ interest who may not have considered psychology as a career path or who might like a change in direction, as well as those who are experienced in this area already. We hope this page will be used to promote interesting information, facilitate lively discussions, and allow you to talk to one another about what becoming a clinical psychologist is all about. Please feel free to post anything you think may be of interest and invite others whom you feel may like to be involved!
