2025 has been a year of change and I’ve been in a liminal space for most of the year , children leaving home, my work ch...

2025 has been a year of change and I’ve been in a liminal space for most of the year , children leaving home, my work changing and friendship leaving , patterns and realisation’s becoming clear.
when you don’t know whats ahead and you hang in the balance , knowing to well that the way you have been operating simply is outdated .

To embrace the passage of change I decided to embark on a silver clay course . Something was cooking inside . My love for the mountains and sea wanted to express and I felt it deeply .

Soon I discovered and created my signature first piece of jewellery . “ Where the mountains meet the Sea”

I liked the name so flowed with that . As Christmas came it felt right to change it up !! as the boys were not here for the first time in 22 years . So a random booking to Wales , had no idea where I was booking . I chuckle to myself as I landed , there’s a mug in the cottage written across it “ The place where the mountains meet the sea”

So as I explored this beautiful place , Christmas Day involved a Snowdonia walk , a last minute swoop into what looked a nice route. As I meandered the woodlands and waterfalls , I found myself in some old buildings , curious ! I find myself in the middle of an old gold mine . One of the oldest mines in Wales and here was mined some of the rarest gold .
Well that’s a good enough sign for me that I am on the right track 😆😆

Our Story

The Ayurveda Apothecary is nestled in Lancashire at the heart of the Trough of Bowland . We are a beautiful retreat centre know as The Gathering Fields. Most of our products available in our online shop are hand crafted and created with love from our wild flower meadow. The meadow is an ongoing conservation project known as The Green Recovery Project that is re establishing native wild flowers in Lancashire. The centre offers a variety of residential and day workshops in Flower Essences, Yoga and Ayurvedic. We host Retreats in our rustic glamping barn and welcome small groups to work from our centre or you may want to camp in our nearly wild camp field. Therapies in Ayurveda, Flower Essences and Sound Healing are available .We love to host local community groups and have plenty of woodlands and rivers to explore. You can hire our venue, or join a workshop, or simply bring your family and friends to stay with us.
