A huge thank you to the organisers of Comedy Showtime for once again donating the proceeds of their amazing show to St Johnโs at Kendal Golf Club. So much hard work and effort behind the scenes went into raising an incredible ยฃ1,030!! You are hilarious superstars!!
After a short break in June, it was lovely to see everyone back at Plato's, Wine Bar, Kirkby Lonsdale for our monthly community get together. Everyone enjoyed delicious cakes and a raffle raising a further ยฃ170.05 towards hospice care and services, so thank you to all that attended and for your continued support.
On Saturday our fundraising team joined forces with St John's Hospice Shops and held our first jumble sale at Ingleton community centre . Lots of bargains were found, cakes were devoured, raffle & tombola prizes were won & we are delighted to announce that we raised a fantastic ยฃ1,058.
A huge thank you to everyone in the community that attended, the amazing team of volunteers that give their time week in week out, our extra volunteers and to all the local businesses and people that donated a raffle prize โ we could not do this without you all!
Garstang Free Methodist church raised a fabulous ยฃ205.70, they had a collection during their weekly men's fellowship! It was lovely meeting you all and hearing your connections to the hospice. Thank you for choosing us!
Liz Ward raised an incredible amount of ยฃ1059.20 at her open garden event. Despite the wet weather it was well attended and enjoyed by all who came. A huge thank you to Liz for helping us organise a wonderful event!
Finally Alfred was recently involved in a project at school where he had to raise funds for a cause of his choice. He chose St John's Hospice and managed to raise a brilliant ยฃ92.50 in what he called a 'Values Walk', where he used a GPS to spell out the values of Ripley St. Thomas, the school he attends. Well done Alfred and thank you for your support!
Thank you everyone for your continued support ๐
