St John's Hospice

St John's Hospice St John's Hospice is a charity. All of our care, compassion and support is offered free of charge to patients and their families or carers.
(375)

St John’s Hospice provides care, compassion and support for patients with life shortening illnesses across the South Lakes, North Lancashire and parts of North Yorkshire. Our care however is not cost free, around a quarter of our funding is from the government and the remaining three-quarters is raised by people like you in our local community. This is why St John's fundraises throughout the year with events, the St John's lottery, monthly giving schemes, wills and our shops so we can be there for one of the most difficult times in people’s lives. Our services include an inpatient ward for end-of-life care as well as pain and symptom management, a Hospice at Home service for people who choose to spend their last time at home and need our support, Clinical Nurse Specialists who support people with planning and pain & symptom management, and a Respite Service for carers of loved ones who need respite time during the day or night. St John's also offers pre and post bereavement support plus other services you may not associate with a Hospice such as Social Workers and Therapists.

Regular Giving is a quick and easy way to support YOUR local hospice each month, with a donation of your choice. Visit sjhospice.org.uk/regular to get started today.

Have a read of Gordon’s Regular Giving Story:
"How often we hear friends and acquaintances recalling the final days of their loved ones spent in the hospice. They speak with great affection of the quality of care, the compassion and dignity. We felt that by making a regular donation we are helping to ensure that our wonderful hospice is always there for members of our community in their time of need.” - Gordon, Lancaster

All funds raised through Regular Giving donations support the care of St John’s, not just in the Hospice but out in the community in patient’s own homes. Thank you 💚
