✨My Many Coloured Days - Dr Seuss ✨

This wonderful book explores emotions in a fun, creative way. Each page uses colours and animals to help children understand different feelings, making it a fantastic tool for starting conversations about emotions. It’s playful, imaginative, and perfect for children (and adults) to explore how we feel every day.💛 🥰💕

We’re excited to be launching a new series of training sessions ✨🤩

Starting with....

More Than Picky Eating: Understanding Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) – A Practical Overview

This two-hour introductory session for families and professionals provides a clear and accessible overview of the difference between “fussy eating" and the more complex eating disorder, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID).

The session explores how anxiety, sensory sensitivities, and fear can influence children's eating habits at home and at school. It helps participants understand why certain foods or eating situations can feel overwhelming for some children and offers practical, everyday strategies to reduce pressure around food, respond supportively to eating challenges, and promote emotional well-being. It is designed to build understanding and confidence, and is suitable for those seeking a foundation-level introduction to ARFID.

Only £45 per person 💛

✨ The Bear Who Stared - Duncan Beedie ✨

A beautifully gentle story that helps little ones explore emotions and empathy in a calm, reassuring way.

It encourages children to recognise feelings, practise empathy, and understand that everyone experiences emotions differently 🫶.

Waite Psychology Ltd

Waite Psychology was set up in 2018 by Dr Jennifer Waite, Educational Psychologist.

Waite Psychology provides educational psychology services to schools, pupil referral units, early years settings, families and other educational settings, for children and young adults aged 0 to 25 years. Waite Psychology aims to apply psychology to affect positive change and development for children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Support can be provided at the individual casework level or at a class or whole-school systemic level. Psychological advice and reports can support requests for Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments by detailing a child or young adult’s strengths, difficulties and the outcomes they need to be successful learners.

Dr Jennifer Waite qualified as an Educational Psychologist (EP) in 2013 at Manchester University. Within her previous employment, Jennifer took on the role of Senior EP for organisational management with a Nurture specialism. Jennifer is particularly interested in the application of consultation and joint problem solving with school staff to devise and review action plans for children or young adults. Jennifer’s approach is based on ensuring school staff and parents are empowered by her involvement and find positive ways forward. She equally values the importance of obtaining pupil voice and ensuring a child or young adult’s participation throughout.

For more information please contact Jennifer on 07702068694 or Jennifer@waitepsychology.co.uk or visit www.waitepsychology.co.uk
