NEWS FLASH 🙌🤗🙌

Tasha is off for the week and I’m been let loose with our posts 😆.

I am mad as a box of frogs 🐸 with no time to think but then find time to start devising a therapeutic intervention because my heart 💓 tells me we need it and it might help 🙈.

A massive thank you to Hannah, Vic and Mike who have helped make my idea a reality (which would never have happened without you guys 😘) and Isle of Design for creating a logo for us 💕.

Myself and Han had a working day on Saturday and planned the next steps. We think we will be ready for January 2026 and if any schools want to trial our therapeutic intervention for free and give us feedback - that woukd be amazing 🤩!!!

I’ll keep you posted as things develop 🫶💕🫶 ###

A silly post but this is literally my new Sunday routine, including cleaning the kitchen floors for us 🙈…. Turning our home into our work place 🫶…. Table set ✔️ Coffee machine ready ✔️ and every option of tea available ✔️ and all for our Monday catch up day 💕💕💕.

I am looking forward to having Jane back with us (in person 😂) tomorrow 💓 (I have missed you 😘🥰😘) and it’s then myself, Katie, Mike and Beth tomorrow.

We will be missing Natalie but she is needed in a school 🫶 and Tasha who is on the most well deserved holiday 🫶 for which I know we all hope you have such a wonderful week 🥰❤️🥰.

Next up, we are so happy to welcome Natalie to the Waite Psychology team! 🥰

Natalie brings a rich background in supporting children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and offering schools and families support and advice. Her experience within the Cognition and Learning Team, where she specialised in Specific Learning Difficulties, has equipped her with a deep understanding of how to help learners overcome barriers and thrive both academically and emotionally.

Now working as an Assistant Educational Psychologist, Natalie continues to make a meaningful impact through her collaborative approach, insightful assessments, and tailored support for schools, families, and learners. She’s also leading our Optima/Reading Project, an exciting evidence-based programme designed to boost literacy and build confidence in children’s learning journeys.

Next up, we are so pleased to welcome Katie to the Waite Psychology team! With over sixteen years of experience in education, spanning early years to university level, Katie brings a depth of knowledge and compassion that truly enriches our work. Her background as a Senior SEND Mental Health Practitioner and her commitment to supporting children and young people through trauma and early intervention make her an incredible asset.

Now stepping into her role as an Assistant Educational Psychologist, Katie is already making a difference through her thoughtful assessments, tailored support, and ability to turn psychological theory into meaningful practice 💛. She will also be leading our ‘Specialist Curriculums’ project, helping mainstream schools develop inclusive approaches for children and young people with CLD, SLD, and autism.

First up, we’re absolutely delighted to welcome Beth to the Waite Psychology team! With her deep passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential, and her wealth of experience supporting ages 3 to 16, Beth brings both heart and expertise to everything she does 💗. Her background in psychology and her hands-on work in schools, from one-to-one support to nurturing emotional development, make her a truly valuable addition to our team 🥰.

Beth will be leading our ‘Nurturing Schools with Waite Psychology’ project, and we couldn’t be more excited about the impact she’ll have. Welcome, Beth – we are so lucky to have you on board! 💙

Hattie is kindly donating her bookshelf and wooden height chart ruler which are both in immaculate condition - like new. She is wanting to put the donation towards us buying resources that may help children and young people have their voices heard, particularly to help talk about their feelings and to share their thoughts, whilst we work with them 🫶🥰

Both bookshelf and height chart were bought from The Great Little Trading Company costing £106 together – any donation would be gratefully received.

Waite Psychology Ltd

Waite Psychology was set up in 2018 by Dr Jennifer Waite, Educational Psychologist.

Waite Psychology provides educational psychology services to schools, pupil referral units, early years settings, families and other educational settings, for children and young adults aged 0 to 25 years. Waite Psychology aims to apply psychology to affect positive change and development for children and young adults with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Support can be provided at the individual casework level or at a class or whole-school systemic level. Psychological advice and reports can support requests for Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) assessments by detailing a child or young adult’s strengths, difficulties and the outcomes they need to be successful learners.

Dr Jennifer Waite qualified as an Educational Psychologist (EP) in 2013 at Manchester University. Within her previous employment, Jennifer took on the role of Senior EP for organisational management with a Nurture specialism. Jennifer is particularly interested in the application of consultation and joint problem solving with school staff to devise and review action plans for children or young adults. Jennifer’s approach is based on ensuring school staff and parents are empowered by her involvement and find positive ways forward. She equally values the importance of obtaining pupil voice and ensuring a child or young adult’s participation throughout.
