At your hearing assessment we'll get started with a consultation, asking a few questions about your hearing and overall wellbeing. We’ll build up a picture of where you may be having difficulty hearing (such as when watching TV or if you have trouble following a conversion when there is background noise).

The hearing assessment then consists of a series of tests which allow us to understand more about your level of hearing loss and ear health. Your audiologist will perform each test, explaining the process as you go, this includes examination of the ear and auditory canal, video otoscopy and full audiometric hearing assessment including speech audiometry.

Once all tests are completed, we’ll discuss your results with you. We’ll fully explain what each result means and provide impartial advice on the most appropriate hearing system for your personal needs.

If, as a result of your hearing test, we recommend wearing a hearing aid, we’ll be able to show you appropriate devices for a range of budgets. As we are entirely independent, we stock a wide selection of devices from a number of highly regarded brands. All of our products come with a free trial and 60-day money-back guarantee.

To book you can ring us on 0152 458 7623 or book via our website.

Hearing loss often happens gradually, which means many people don’t notice the changes straight away. You might still hear sounds, but conversations become harder to follow, especially in busy places.

A hearing check can help you understand what’s happening and whether support could make everyday listening easier. Wearing a hearing aid isn’t about changing who you are, it’s about helping you hear more clearly and confidently. Many people are surprised by how much easier conversations feel once they have the right support, allowing them to relax and enjoy social moments again.

Contact us to book your hearing health assessment through our website or on 0152 458 7623.

We all have preconceptions about hearing aids: how much they cost, how big they are, how uncomfortable they are to wear and what other people will think of us for wearing one. But the truth is, hearing aid technology has developed so much in recent years that most of the things we know, or think we know, are simply not true. Hearing aids are comfortable, discreet, and often unnoticeable.

If you're interested in learning more about how hearing aids can benefit your life visit our website to read more, or book an appointment for a hearing assessment to discuss your options with our audiologist. You can book with us on 0152 458 7623 or via our website.

Hearing changes are a natural part of aging, it’s thought that by our 70s, most of us notice some level of hearing loss. Awareness is the first step to staying connected to what you love.

A simple hearing test can spot changes early and make everyday conversations easier. Hearing loss often happens gradually, so it’s easy to miss the signs—like struggling to follow conversations, turning the TV up louder, or feeling tired after social situations.

A quick hearing check can help you understand what’s going on, give reassurance, and guide you toward the right support so you can stay confident, connected, and engaged in daily life.

Rumour has it that our ears continue to grow our whole lives. The truth is that they do not literally grow in adulthood, but they do naturally sag due to aging and gravity. This makes them bigger, and appear as if they have grown.

It's important to take care of your hearing aids, proper maintenance extends the life of them and ensures clear, consistent sound quality. Moisture and condensation can damage hearing aids so it's important to protect them from these conditions. To help protect them you can do the following things:

Always take your hearing aids off before bathing, swimming or using toiletries on your face. Store them somewhere safe, away from humidity.

Always handle your hearing aids with clean, dry hands.

Cleaning your hearing aids daily helps to keep them free of moisture, wax and debris. When you're finished with them for the day it's best to wipe them with a soft, dry cloth to remove perspiration etc. Don't use any cleaning products that aren't recommended by your audiologist.
