At Origin Spinal Injury Care, we have been providing specialist live-in spinal injury care to adults across the UK since 2001. For the most part, our clients are young adults, who are busy and active, both in work and socially. We provide fully managed, respite and long-term care, as well as a travel care service. We offer support to people who have been living with spinal injuries long-term, and those adapting to life with a spinal injury following spinal unit discharge. We're currently recruiting! We’re looking for both new and experienced live-in carers to join our team across the UK to help us bring spontaneity and freedom of life to adults living with a spinal cord injury. Whether this is your first care job, or you’ve been doing it for years, you’ll be fully supported by our experienced, established care management team, many of whom started their careers at Origin as live-in carers themselves. Care work with Origin isn’t care work as you know it; it’s your opportunity to transform someone’s life by assisting them to promote their independence, spontaneity and freedom of choice. No two clients are the same; this means there isn’t a ‘typical day’ for an Origin Personal Care Assistant. What each care assignment does have in common though, is that they’re all extremely rewarding, and you get the chance to make a real difference to people's lives.

✨ Music, laughter, and unforgettable nights: life doesn’t stop after a spinal injury, and that’s thanks in no small part to the incredible support of live-in carers like Helene.
She helps our client George live life to the fullest, whether that’s a trip to Wembley to see Coldplay (where they're pictured here!), a weekend away, or day-to-day independence at home.
If you’re compassionate, reliable and looking for a career that truly makes a difference, becoming a live-in carer with us could be for you. Viva la viva! 💙
Did you know that life as an Origin PA includes getting the chance to accompany our clients when they travel? ✈️
This means getting the chance to explore the globe - and being paid for the privilege! Our carers have seen some incredible places with our clients, just like Tania, pictured here with client Dave in Zimbabwe! 🇿🇼☀️

As a Source of Specialist Live-In Care for People with Spinal Injuries, we’re proud to be one of the leading live-in care providers in the UK.
Whilst many care providers will claim to be unique, we truly are. Managing Director and co-founder Peter Henry is living with a spinal injury. Linda Adamsen, Director of Care Services and co-founder, is an experienced carer. This deep-rooted understanding of both sides of the care package means we’re able to provide care that’s thought through in ways other providers simply cannot. It means we have the greatest possible experience of what it’s like to be the client, and the carer.
Founded in 2001, our client base spans the UK, and we have offices in London and Lancaster.
Our mission? Simple. To be the best.
We’re committed to training and making our staff the best they can possibly be. Our specialist intensive training course (that every single one of our PA’s has completed) is regarded as one of the top in the country, and it doesn’t stop there. We offer refresher training and ‘earn whilst you learn’ schemes (in conjunction with a host of selected suppliers including The Open University).
Our clients are all adults, many of them with active, busy lifestyles. That means that working here is care work like no other – it’s about providing real independence for people who need it most, and bringing spontaneity and freedom into the lives of people living with spinal cord injury.
And that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for live-in carers to join our team. Find out more about why you should work with us, and how to apply, at www.liveincarework.co.uk.
