🍳 A Tasty Day in the Kitchen at our Skippool Campus!
Today’s cooking class was all about choice, confidence, and hands‑on learning. Students selected their own recipes to practise over the next few weeks, choosing dishes they’d love to be able to cook independently at home.
On the menu were some fantastic favourites:
• Freshly baked bread
• Chicken pasta bake
• Corned beef hash
• Sausage and vegetable bakes
Across each session, students are building essential practical skills - from measuring ingredients accurately and chopping vegetables safely to handling raw foods, following step‑by‑step instructions, and using both the oven and hob with growing confidence.
By working on recipes they’ve chosen themselves, learners are not only developing independence in the kitchen but also strengthening their choice making ability.
