Myopia control isn’t just for adults
We’re often asked if short-sightedness control is “only for grown-ups”. It isn’t. In fact, the best results come when we start early. Many children — sometimes as young as six — can safely wear lenses designed to help slow the progression of myopia.
What this means for your child
• Clear vision for everyday life and school
• Lens designs made specifically for young eyes (e.g. optiMYOPE+)
• A simple, supervised plan reviewed regularly by our optometrists
If you’re noticing your child squinting, sitting close to screens, or struggling to see the board, book a children’s myopia appointment with the Optimum team. We’ll explain options in plain English and recommend what’s right for them.
