Great to meet Fylde MP Andrew Snowden together with our home care provider collegues across North Lancs.

We discussed a whole range of issues regarding provision of home care services for vunerable members of our community. Andrew took on board our concerns around sustainability, in particular how we finance the increasing statutory demands on providers.

His insight was great too, both from a national level but also a local level from his earlier incarnation as a Lancashire County Concillor.

Community coffee mornings
The regular community coffee mornings at the Victoria Institute are continuing in January. Dates are Wednesday 14th and Wednesday 28th January, 10am to 12 noon. All welcome to drop in for a hot drink and cake and the chance to catch up with friends. No charge, but donations to the Victoria Institute are welcome.

We’re delighted to share that St John's Hospice will be our 2026 charity partner.

They provide compassionate palliative care across North Lancashire, the South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire.

We’ll be raising funds throughout 2026 via our events — including the Keswick to Barrow Walk — plus plenty more. Watch this space 💚
