🎉 Happy 100th Birthday to our wonderful Alma 🎉

Today, we celebrated an incredible milestone as Alma turned 100 years young! Her lovely family came in to celebrate with her over a classic fish and chips lunch, followed by birthday cake 🍰

We were also delighted to gift Alma a cosy blanket, which you can spot in the photos.

Our residents enjoyed a Scottish-themed meal with traditional music, an interesting talk, and time spent researching their family surnames and coats of arms!

Drumconner Homes Ltd are officially appearing in the Worthing Rotary Carnival Parade on Monday 25th August.

The parade starts at Grand Avenue at 12:30pm and is heading straight for the party at Steyne Gardens, unless you are a cosplayer fan, as they are heading to Beach House Grounds.

🎭 Expect noise, colour, shimmies and probably a few things no one rehearsed...

This is your chance to cheer at the biggest carnival parade in the South!

Dig out any old coins, or notes and drop some in the Rotary collectors buckets and help us raise much needed funds for local causes.

More parade stars announced daily, stay tuned or risk FOMO 👀

Yesterday at Drumconner Lancing, we’re honouring D-Day with a special commemorative lunch 🇬🇧❤️

Residents enjoyed a nostalgic menu of fish and chips, spam fritters with chips, and a pickled onion salad. Our dining room was beautifully decorated for the occasion, and we joined together in a two-minute silence to remember and reflect.

A heartfelt tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of all those who served. ❤️

🫖🎩 Down the Rabbit Hole We Go! 🎩🫖

Yesterday, our dining room was transformed into a wonderland for a weird and wonderful Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!

From vibrant costumes and whimsical decorations to curious treats and playful table settings, our residents enjoyed a magical Alice in Wonderland-themed lunch like no other. The room was filled with fun, fantasy, and laughter — louder than the Queen of Hearts herself 👑♥️

A big thank you to our amazing team for creating such an imaginative and joyful experience.

🇬🇧 VE Day Celebrations – 80 Years On! 🇬🇧

Earlier this month, on Thursday 8th May, we honoured the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day with a truly special themed party here at Drumconner.

Residents and staff alike dressed up in 1940s style, filling the day with music and dancing. The home was decorated with Union Jack bunting, wartime memorabilia, and of course there was plenty of tea and cake to go around!

It was a beautiful day of remembrance, joy, and community, celebrating peace and paying tribute to the incredible generation who lived through it all. 💙
