It took me over 12 years to get a diagnosis of Endometriosis and this is not uncommon.
We get told 'it's normal to be in a lot of pain', 'it's IBS, change your eating', ' you can't keep having time off every month!'
It is debilitating and we are meant to carry on as normal and often do.
Please if you know someone with this condition inform yourself and offer support. If you think you may have it then push for a diagnosis, make yourself heard, don't be told it's normal, IT IS NOT!

On Wednesday it will be 6 years since I stopped drinking alcohol. The support from the OYNB community and leaders helped me succeed. Learning how to break habits and understanding willpower alone is not enough! Knowing the brain chemistry that's going on helps massively.
