The Barefoot Revolution: Train Your Feet, Transform Your Life

Switching to barefoot shoes has completely changed my relationship with movement. When your feet can feel the ground, spread naturally, and strengthen through use (not support), everything changes - from your posture to your balance.

Smash the day!!

You may not want to, you may not feel like it, but moving towards the things you resist always have a positive outcome, and help keep you going in the RIGHT direction.

What do you resist the most, perhaps on a weekly basis?
It could be a person or a task.

What is it, that thing you just thought of now......find a way to tackle it.

Like my client, sometimes aggression is appropriate. Other times, a softly soft approach is needed.

Whatever it is, be the boss of it. Don't let it dictate your mindset and day.

If you walked with crutches for years on end, do you think you would gain strength in walking and running or lose it?
The wrong, over supported shoes can be the same for your feet.

How are your feet doing?

Are your shows supporting them? Or, are they supporting them too much?

Many clients come to me with knee, hip, and lower back pain. But haven't considered their feet.

With more and more supported shoes, the natural structures we've been given fail more and more.

You've a lovely little muscle called Tibularis anterior amongst others, which helps support the arch of your foot.
With arch support, the muscle is used less and less, slowly allowing the arch to "collapse".

My Client, who's been in a wheelchair for 3 years, has now, with the use of the rings, is finally transferring weight into his legs, and now has the stability to support himself in a squat!!

With his determination and grit, he's pushing hard, regaining strength and stability in his legs.

Consistency, determination and grit!!
So proud of him.
