🐶 The Sweetest Visitor… a Little Too Late! 🍪💛

We were sent this heart-warming video of lovely Sadie, one of our local pooches, waiting very patiently for a treat, but sadly, we’d already gone home for the day! 😢🐾

Here at Dillistone & Wraights, we absolutely love meeting your furry companions. As well as collecting for Dogs Trust, we always keep a stash of treats ready for any visiting pups. 🦴🐕

We just want to say a huge THANK YOU to our amazing community for your continued support of Dogs Trust!

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, we’ve received another fantastic donation to send off to help those doggies in need. 🐕🎁

Every contribution makes a real difference, from treats and toys to warm beds and full bellies. Your support means the world, not just to us, but to the dogs waiting for their forever homes. 🐾

Let’s keep the tail wags coming! 🐶✨

🧶 A Beautiful Personal Touch
Here at Dillistone & Wraights, we understand how important the personal touches are when it comes to honouring your loved one.

We were recently privileged to include this gorgeous handmade tribute in a service for a treasured auntie who was a passionate knitter. 🧵💜

The tribute was lovingly crafted from her own wool stash by her niece who she taught to knit as a young girl. A touching full-circle moment and a beautiful way to celebrate a life well lived.

It’s moments like these that remind us how meaningful the little details can be. 💫

🔵 Don’t Forget!
The Blue Plaque Trail is still up until the end of September! 🗺️✨

Take a stroll through local history, discover hidden stories, and enjoy the trail before it wraps up. Perfect for a weekend walk or an afternoon adventure!

💙 Dillistone & Wraights is honoured to commemorate Harold Dray, Coach Trimmer at Lancing Works from 1913–1944, who sadly never returned home. His daughter Liz and granddaughter Sharon travelled a long way to attend the opening ceremony, joined by the Keep Lancing Lovely team, local councillors, and community guests.
Lancing has been awarded 6 of the 200 plaques nationwide – a true testament to our local legacy.

🌿 At Dillisone & Wraights, we understand how deeply the loss of a loved one can affect every part of life. In those moments of grief, having a compassionate support network is not just helpful, it’s essential.

We’re proud to be part of a community that cares. One wonderful local resource is the Good Grief Café, held at Penfold Hall, where people can come together, share, listen, and begin to heal in a warm and welcoming space.

If you or someone you know is navigating loss, please know you’re not alone. Support is here, and so are we.

🚂 Honouring Lancing’s Railway Heritage 💙

We’re proud to be taking part in the British Rail Blue Plaque Railway Heritage Trail, in partnership with Keep Lancing Lovely and other local businesses, celebrating 200 years of British Railways and Lancing’s rich railway history.
Running from May to September, the trail features specially designed blue plaques paying tribute to local railway heroes — men and women who worked tirelessly before and during both World Wars.

📍 Take the trail, discover the stories, and help us keep Lancing’s history alive.
