Lesley joined us at Christmas and has since become a truly valued member of the Portcullis family. Although she had to leave her much-loved dog, Blue, with her family, he visits often and always brings a smile to her face. You’ll often find Lesley sitting on the floor playing with him—his gentle nature has made him a firm favourite with residents and staff alike. 🐾💛

Friday mornings at Portcullis are all about baking, laughter, and a sprinkle of nostalgia. 🧁

Gill and Lesley decided it was time to whip up some delicious chocolate chip muffins—so on went the gloves and aprons, and off we went! The kitchen was soon filled with smiles as we shared memories of cooking with our mums, along with plenty of giggles about past culinary mishaps.

Of course, the highlight of the day was enjoying our freshly baked muffins together at afternoon tea—well worth the effort! ☕
