Join Us for Our Summer Fête & Fun Dog Show! 🐶🌞 Saturday 30th August | 1:30 – 3:30 PM 📅

We know our visitors love bringing their dogs, so this year, we’re making them part of the fun with a paw-some dog show! 🐕

🐾 6 Tail-Wagging Classes: Prettiest Lady, Most Handsome Dog, Cutest Puppy (under 1 year), Cleverest Trick, Waggiest Tail, Fastest Sausage Eater 🌭🐾
🎟️ £1 entry per dog, per class.

There’ll also be stalls to browse and delicious cream teas for just £3. Come along for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and furry friends!

🦉✨ What a hoot this week has been!

We were thrilled to welcome the lovely ladies from Owl Obsession UK , along with their beautiful owls, Woody and Ollie.

Woody is already a familiar (and very loved!) face here, but it was our first time meeting Ollie, a stunning, rare black barn owl!🖤🦉

The owls brought so much joy, especially to those who don’t always feel like joining in. It’s amazing how a pair of feathered friends can spark smiles and conversation.

Thank you Owl Obsession for such a special visit! 💛

When the sunshine came out to play, so did we, in the best kind of way! With a tree standing proud, casting afternoon shade, We turned our front garden into a summer parade. 🌞🌳🍦

We played a few rounds of boules on the lawn, enjoyed ice creams as we chatted and listened to the birds sing. 🐦🎶

This spring, we came together for a special craft project: creating our very own friendship quilt. Each resident and team member contributed a personalised felt square, sparking heartfelt conversations and creative moments. 🧶

It’s still a work in progress and hopefully always will be as more residents add their touch. Now on display in our dining room, this quilt is a true labour of love and a beautiful reflection of our community spirit. 🥰

Each year, Langport’s Friendly Society parades through the neighbourhood alongside our local band, celebrating the connections and communities they’ve supported. It’s a treasured tradition that our residents always look forward to, especially the joyful music echoing through the gardens. 😍 🥰

Afterward, they stayed for a cheerful visit, enjoying refreshments and conversations with our residents before continuing their journey. A memorable day filled with music, community, and warm smiles all around. 🎶 🤩

Yesterday, we were honoured to receive seven sets of cycling pedals from the wonderful Drayton Village Fair Committee, a generous donation to help our residents stay active, healthy, and mobile! 🚲

This kind donation was made in honour of our resident Brenda, a treasured figure in the village and the very person who started the original Drayton Street Fair! We're proud to now have Brenda living here with us and what a beautiful connection to celebrate. 🥰

We marked the occasion with a cheerful coffee morning as part of Open Care Homes Week, with friends and familiar faces joining in the festivities. ☕
