💭 “I don’t know what I’m doing.”
💭 “I’ll be the only beginner.”

If you’ve ever thought any of these, you’re definitely not the only one — they’re the most common myths I hear about starting a yoga practice.

Here’s the truth:
✨ You don’t need to touch your toes — yoga is about calming the mind, and movement is just one way we get there.
✨ You don’t need to know what you’re doing — in class I always encourage you to move at your own pace. If you’re “behind,” be behind. If you know what’s coming and want to flow ahead, be ahead. There’s no doing it wrong — it’s just about breathing and moving.
✨ You won’t be the only beginner — this block is designed for people starting fresh, with a friendly group right alongside you.

Our Beginners Vinyasa Yoga block is all about moving, breathing, and finding a little calm each week — with a fun, relaxed community.

Pregnant? This workshop is all about learning how to move your body through labour so you feel confident, supported, and ready to help your baby’s journey into the world.

✨ Explore movements that open the pelvis and create space for baby
✨ Learn how to soften and release the pelvic floor (that’s right, it’s not just about the squeeze!)
✨ Discover how breath can guide and support you in each stage of labour
✨ Practise with the birthing ball — your new best friend in pregnancy + birth 🟣

Rooted in yoga principles, you’ll move, breathe, and tune into your body. We’ll finish with a guided relaxation to leave you calm and centred, before tea, cake, and a good chat with other mums-to-be. 🍰☕

🌿 Movement for Birth Workshop 🌿
Saturday 26th July | 9:30–11:30am

Pregnant and wondering how to actually move during labour? This yoga-based workshop is designed to prepare your body and your mind for birth.

We’ll explore:
✨ How to open the pelvis and create space for baby
✨ Using your birthing ball with purpose
✨ Positions for labour that support your body
✨ Breathing techniques to ease intensity
✨ Releasing and softening the pelvic floor

We’ll end with deep relaxation and visualisation to leave you feeling calm, confident and connected.

And after class? Stick around for coffee, cake and connection — a chance to ask questions, meet other mums-to-be and feel part of the warm, non-judgemental community we’re creating at Laura Neish Yoga. 💛

After a lovely 2 weeks away with the family, chilling at home and enjoying the sunshine, we’re back on the mat this week.

What’s On in June 🌿

A quick heads-up: I’m off on holiday in early July, so June will be the last chance to join a class before everything winds down a little for summer.

It’s also our final month in the lovely - from July, we’re moving just downstairs to (same building, The Suite in Larbert). It’s a small shift, but a lovely one, and I’d love to mark the change with you before the move.

Here’s what’s on:

Monday
🧘‍♀️ Morning Vinyasa – 9:45am
(A bit of movement, breath and a reset for the week ahead)

Tuesday
👶 Mum & Baby Yoga – 10:00am
🤰 Pregnancy Yoga – 6:00pm
🌙 Beginners Yoga – 7:45pm
(Absolutely no flexibility required – just come as you are)

Wednesday
👶 Mum & Baby Yoga – 10:30am

Classes are friendly, welcoming, and focused on supporting you. Whether you’re in the thick of motherhood or simply need an hour to yourself.

If you’ve been meaning to come along, now’s a good time. It’ll be quiet over summer, so June is the best bet for some consistency.

NEW THINGS ARE JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

We’re going to miss this beautiful space 😍

A huge thank you to Jen at for having our mum & baby, pregnancy, beginners and vinyasa yoga classes and our coffee mornings. It’s been a wonderful 3 years in the studio. I’m grateful for every student who’s come through the doors (and up two flights of stairs 👀 with bumps and babies!) and been part of the community we’ve created 🙏

We’re not going far though! We’ll be moving downstairs in in July. You can say good bye to the stairs!

Watch this space for some exciting new events all things yoga, mums and babies in the summer ☀️

Last chance to book the preparing for birth workshop tomorrow ✨

If you want to join us, we’ll be going through lots of movement to help us to prepare our bodies for labour on and off the birthing ball. There’ll be lots of tools for during birth too (including some magical breathing 💕). We’re going to finish up with a lovely relaxation session before we have some drinks, cakes and a chat.

Our Preparing for Birth Workshop with Laura is only a couple of weeks away 🤗 what can you expect?

Saturday 8th February 10am - 12.30pm

Come and join me at where we explore how yoga techniques can assist us in birthing our babies. We wil focus on:

🔸 How the pelvic floor functions during birth and what we can do to help it
🔸 Breathing techniques to aid us during our waves and contractions
🔸 How baby moves through the pelvis - a mobile pelvis in pregnancy is a mobile pelvis in birth
🔸 What to do with our birthing ball. There’s so many things we can do with our ball during pregnancy and labour, for rest as well as movement (birthing balls provided)
🔸 Calming the nervous system and getting rest. How do we settle our stresses and anxieties do let that all important oxytocin flow? Rest is productive, particularly in the third trimester.
🔸 A positive mindset. We will use affirmations and meditation techniques to prepare our mind for birth, not just our bodies.

We’ll finish our session with a chance for a hot (or cold) drink and a sweet treat, allowing some time to get to know other mums to be.

While this session is particularly useful for women in the third trimester, the sooner you start moving your body for birth, the better. You can join all pregnancy workshops and classes any time from 12weeks onwards.

As my maternity leave ends, there’s lots going this year 🤗 I’ve been back in the studio for 2 weeks and I’m so pleased to be there. Thank you to everyone who@has joined so far.

Weekly classes at in Larbert :

🔹Monday 9.45am - Vinyasa Yoga

🔹Tuesday 10am - Mum & Baby Yoga
6pm - Pregnancy Yoga
7.30pm - Beginners Yoga (starts 18th Feb)

🔹Wednesday 10.30am - Mum & Baby Yoga

Preparing for Birth - A Yoga workshop : come and join us as we explore what we can do with a birthing ball to help us prepare for the arrival of baby. There’ll be pelvic floor work and relaxation too. Not forgetting some tea and cake to finish.
