The craft fair has definitely presented us with more than our fair share of challenges over the years. It's interesting to look back and see just how far we've come since we began and we're both really proud of what we have achieved. The top photo was taken in early 2006 (the craft fair began in September 2005) and the bottom photo is from 2025. We started out with around 20 stalls and now have 53 every month... Oh, and our footfall is slightly higher these days 😁

Make sure you pop along to see all our very talented crafters on 7th June at Geilsland Estate. We're open from 11am to 4pm, FREE entry, FREE parking with our lovely car park team on hand to help you find a space. The venue is fully accessible with a wonderful onsite cafe, plus great countryside walks, and it's all dog friendly too! As 2025 is our 20th year of events we're sharing some fun facts about our history. Did you know that on 1st February 2020, our last ever event took place, or so we thought! Soon afterwards the pandemic resulted in the temporary closure of indoor venues and left our crafters without a platform to sell their creations so we decided to move online as "Scottish Arts & Crafts Fair Online" which was promoted regularly by our fictitious couple the indefatigable "Bob & Morag" 😁 Our online events allowed our crafters to begin creating again and to reconnect with customers - many of them found it really helped with their mental health during a difficult and isolating time. Spurred on by the positive response we received we decided to search for a new venue for our physical events to return to once it was safe to do so. In mid 2020 we believed that we had found a suitable location and were at the final stages of confirming our bookings when we were advised that the venue had decided to focus solely on wedding bookings and were therefore no longer willing to commit to a regular monthly booking for a craft fair. So it was back to the drawing board for the umpteenth time... Once again, our story is “to be continued”.

We have another great line-up of food & drink producers in addition to our craft stalls and our 7th June event at Geilsland Estate will feature the following stalls:

Threepwood Fayre - A family run cottage industry based in Beith that makes traditional confectionery. They will also have a range of delicious Isle of Kintyre cheeses available 🧀

Caramiche Chocolaterie - A small, family run, artisan chocolate business offering an fantastic range of delicious luxury chocolates.

The Inventor's Gin Co. Ltd - Small-batch gin produced in Ardrossan, made from a combination of traditional botanicals and nettle, heather, smoked pink peppercorns and smoked chillies.

Yummy Things - Fantastic take home baking including freshly baked scones, cakes and biscuits.

Necropolis Spirits - Deid Merchant Spiced Rum, a full bodied fragrant mix of Jamaican, Dominican and Grenada rums. In addition they have their limited release Merchant's Select range of whisky. All of these whiskies are single cask, so when they are gone, they are gone.

The Sugar Fairy Kilwinning - Gorgeous homemade traditional Scottish tablet and flavoured varieties with a twist!

Tricia's Homemade Jams - A delicious range of homemade jams made using the finest ingredients.

And don't forget Mocha JaK’s coffee shop will be serving a great range of freshly prepared food and home baking on the day. Come along and see us all on 7th June, it's a great day out! It's just one week to go until Scotland's biggest monthly indoor arts & crafts fair is back at Geilsland Estate in Beith! Once again there are lots of new crafters joining us for the first time on 3rd May. We have 53 stalls filled with a huge range of handmade items plus food & drink, ideal as extra special gifts or just to treat yourself, and as we're indoors there's no need to worry about the weather.
