Haylie House has an excellent and deserved reputation for the high calibre and professionalism of its staff who offer the best possible quality of care delivered to an exacting standard in a warm and supporting environment for our residents. Whilst the property is owned by North Ayrshire Council, Haylie House is run by a professionally qualified management team who are overseen by a Board of Trustees drawn from local volunteers with a diverse background of experience and talent. The Trustees are all actively involved in the running of Haylie House and work closely with the staff to ensure that every aspect of the management and service quality meets the exacting standards demanded by the Scottish Commission for Regulatory Care . Regular inspections by the latter ensure that all aspects of safety and security are adhered to.

Just before Christmas we made some lovely centre pieces for the dining room tables. 🎍

Then it was Christmas! Santa made a return visit along with his helpful Elf to deliver some lovely presents to the residents before everyone enjoyed a fantastic Christmas lunch. 🎄

The festive fun is now in full swing at Haylie House. Along with all our regular activities, staff and residents took part in Christmas Jumper Day, a visit to Cardwell Garden Centre in the minibus for tea, coffee and scones, a visit from entertainer Philip Monk and a visit from the children at Douglas Park Nursery.
We would like to say a very big thank you to Colleen Anderson for all her assistance with our staff choir practices and with playing the piano when our staff entertained the residents , thank you Colleen and thank you to all the staff who took part in our Carols and Readings for the Nativity.

The weather outside may be frightful, but inside Haylie House it's delightful......... We had our regular activities, a celebration for St Andrew's Day and a visit from our four paws pal Lubo the Therapet.

A special presentation took place this week. a big thank you to four members of staff who between them have clocked up a marvellous 105 years service. Sylvia and Noreen who both have over 30 years service, Margaret who has 30 years and Ellie who has over 10 years. Thank you for your loyalty and dedication to our Home and our Residents.
There were the usual activities this week, chair exercises, magnetic darts, hoopla, and ball toss. And of course, the residents joined the staff in dressing Haylie House up for Christmas.
