FORGIVENESS
When a person has been wronged or hurt by another, maybe involved in an unpleasant situation or in a traumatic event they often take on emotions of anger, sadness, bitterness, resentment, together with many other emotions. Some may take on thoughts of revenge or some kind of vengeance.
Forgiveness does not condone the behaviours or hurt caused by others, nor is it to forget or excuse those behaviours and the harm done. It does not mean having to make up with the person(s) who caused the harm - Forgiveness is a decision to release your feelings of hatred, anger and resentment.
The event has happened and cannot be changed, but it is possible to change how you think about it. I see it all the time, people who hold anger and resentment towards people who have been dead for years.
Forgive - Not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace.
This is a massive subject, far to big for text, but if anyone reading is harbouring grudges and resentment towards others, let them go, take back your empowerment - you deserve peace.
Forgiveness can lead to healthier relationships, improved mental health with less anxiety, stress and resentment. It can lower blood pressure and help release the symptoms of depression, and there are many of them. Forgiveness will promote a stronger immune system, improve heart health and improve self esteem.
If you are having anger issues, feeling depressed or anxious, I would love to help you. Send me a message and I will get back to you.
