Buying lenses from pop-up shops, street vendors, novelty stores, or unverified online sellers is dangerous as they often don’t meet safety standards.

Poorly fitted or non-sterile lenses can cause:
• Corneal abrasions or scratches
• Eye infections (keratitis, ulcers)
• Allergic reactions, swelling, pain
