Microsuction Ear Wax Removal Based at SW Podiatry and Health at Homeleigh Garden Centre, Launceston

Rachel qualified as a Registered Nurse in 2008, since then she has worked as a District Nurse, Emergency Department Nurse and more recently as an MIU Nurse Practitioner. She is very experienced with a numerous range of ear problems, from assessing and treating infections to syringing and removal of foreign bodies. Rachel has completed an accredited Aural Microsuction Training Course recommended by the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists and is fully insured.

We’ve already had a few toasty days and more warm weather is on the way, so be careful out there! Prolonged heat and humidity can increase the risk of ear problems — from swimmer’s ear after a dip in the pool or sea, to discomfort caused by trapped sweat and debris in the ear canal.

💡 Tips to keep your ears happy in the heat:

☀️Dry ears thoroughly after swimming or showering
☀️Avoid poking or scratching inside the ear
☀️Stay hydrated — it’s good for your ears as well as the rest of you!
☀️Book a check-up if you notice itching, pain, or muffled hearing
