Exciting news: Launceston Medical Centre is committed to reducing emissions and lowering our carbon footprint and as such, we are in the process of installing a further 50 solar panels to the Practice roof, expected to produce an additional 20kWh. Unfortunately, this does mean that there is some disruption in the carpark to the side of the building and a section of the pedestrian path is closed until 15/08/2025. Therefore, we are asking patients to use the front carpark wherever possible and where this is not possible, please take extra care walking to the main entrance at the front of the building.

From Monday 28 July to Saturday 9 August resurfacing work will be carried out overnight with the road to the Practice being closed from 7pm to 6am.

There will be 'access only' along Link Road from Pennygillam roundabout up to the turning to Landlake Road.

This will likely affect getting in and out of the Practice due to the work area across the entry road, so significant delays are predicted. Please allow sufficient travel time.

MIU closure at Launceston Hospital from 21st July 2025

You may be aware that the Minor Injuries Unit and X-ray Department at Launceston Hospital is closed from 21st July until further notice.

We have attached the following statement from Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust which gives details on how they plan to care for our patients during this closure.

Launceston Community Hospital provides inpatient care and a range of clinics to people in Launceston and the surrounding area.
