Direct (unattended) cremation is the right option for some people.

Is it the right option for you and your family?

⚠️ Many people don’t realise this, so it’s important to make it clear.....

We've had a number of families contact us in recent times, unsure of what choices they have following a sudden or unexpected death within their family.

Confusion occurs when the Coroner’s representative is often a local funeral director. They are instructed to convey the deceased person to the relevant hospital mortuary, as per their contract with the local authority.

You are NOT obligated to use their services. This initial transfer is simply part of the Coroner’s process, nothing more.

The next of kin ALWAYS has the freedom to choose their preferred funeral director.

At what can be such an overwhelming, confusing and emotional time, it’s so important that families feel correctly informed and empowered to make the choices that are right for them.

If you ever find yourself in this situation and feel unsure, it's okay to pause for a moment, ask questions, and take the time you need to make the decision that feels best for you and your family ❤️

This lovely video of the cortège approaching St. Thomas Church.

Captured by our Jo from the little medieval packhorse bridge that crosses the river Kensey. Wonderful sights and sounds....

A beautiful day in the sunshine for this dear ladies funeral service. Her love for animals, particularly horses, was shown in the most spectacular way today 🖤. And her connections to Launceston St. John's Ambulance, is the reason we began her journey (and returned) opposite their old station in Westgate Street.

Thank you as always to Simon & Warren at Kilvey Carriage Hire South Wales . Sikke & Harry 🐴🐴 were first class, leading us down to St. Thomas Church, via the ladies house, and all the way back up the hill in lots of traffic! A sight to behold.

And thank you to the people of Launceston for showing such respect and patience for the horses 🙌🏻
