Thank you to everyone who hung a heart with their personal message on our tree in St. Mary's Church Christmas Tree Festival this year🎄

For a Cornishman who loved a pasty!

The family tried to roughly work out how many pasties he may have eaten during his 94 wonderful years.... it was likely to be a few thousand 😅 so this was the most fitting tribute ❤️

St. Mary's Church, Launceston, Christmas Tree Festival 2025🎄

You'll find our Cornish Tartan themed tree half way down the right hand side of the church along with a box of heart shaped tags ❤️

"Christmas is a time for coming together, sharing love, and cherishing the memories of those we've lost. It can also be a challenging time for those who are missing someone special. To help bring a little comfort and solace during this time of year, during the St. Mary’s Christmas tree festival period, you may wish to leave a personal message to that someone special.

Please feel free to write your message on one of the heart shaped tags provided and hang it on the tree, where it will remain in the church until the 14th December. We will then take the tree back to our premises and keep all the decorations on, ensuring your loved one remains in our thoughts throughout the Christmas period".

Another wonderful display of trees this year and lovely to see so much local support for this event🎄

Passed away peacefully at Cedar Grange Care Home, Launceston on 16th November 2025 aged 87 years. Beloved Wife of the late Alwyne, and a much-loved Mother, Gran and Great-Gran.
