Wild couple of weeks in the studio. Rugby match pre-event treatment, end of audits week - tension headaches treatment, bursitis treatment, piriformis syndrome treatment, tendinitis treatment & a bunch of back pain treatments! I have a Thursday evening 1h slot available & Friday late afternoon 30min (follow up appointments only) slot available for acupuncture, yours if required! Otherwise fully booked & grateful for your incredible loyalty. 💙

Time I posted about work for a change! It's been very lively at Caspian Fitness! Thank you for your referrals & your unbelievable loyalty & trust! Recently I've treated lower back pain, tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, tension headaches, usual office job related neck & thoracic pain, menopause related adhesive capsulitis and simply provided a remedial relaxation massage. Tested people for skiing related ligament damage, sacroiliac joint problems & sciatica versus piriformis syndrome.. And mixed many refreshing drinks - ginger & carrot smoothie, apple & orange juice, coconut water and raspberry lemonade. I do love my job. I am limited to evenings & weekends now that I'm back to full time education. But I will always find time for my regulars & their associates 💙 thanks, guys x

Very nearly finished my paediatric placement which have been a game changer in what I think I want to do when I grow up 🤗.
But on my "paid job" front - as always, thanks to my regulars, my Caspian Fitness family, I'm so grateful for each one of you! I will pick up my working hours next week, so get in touch should you need a maintenance apointment or acute treatment 🙃

Young athlete in the studio this morning to wrap up (no pun intended) a busy week! Classic scenario - insufficient warm up + cold temps combo, player felt a "pop" 🫣 & hobbled off the pitch. For similar scenarios, follow PRICE (protect, rest, ice, compress, elevate) and NO HARM (no heat, no alcohol, no running, no massage) protocols for the first 72h. My young patient was taped up (kinesiology) & snug (not tight) compression was applied. I'll be seeing him next week for gentle soft tissue work, possibly acupuncture and advice on progressive loading & GRADUAL return to sport. No buttock pain & no palpable gap/deformity near ischial tuberosity thankfully, suggests no tendon avulsion.

"Connect & reflect" week in full swing - that peaceful time when I only have my two jobs - first semester is finished and practice placement haven't started yet! Seeing my regulars for their "maintenance"👩‍🔧 and welcoming a new patient into the studio before life gets wild again. Our bodies are fine-tuned machines — built to move, perform, and endure. Machines, in need for regular maintenance to keep running smoothly. When we invest time in recovery, we are not just avoiding injury — we are optimizing performance. I'm not just talking sports massage - I mean movement & weights & cardio & everything our bodies are designed for. I'm trying out a new refreshment strategy post treatment for my people this week - chilled fruits! Travis approves. Thanks for your bookings & referrals, mi querida gente!

Been busy with my regulars & new referrals, again thanks a million for your referrals to precious friends and family. Here's what Chat GPT had to say about the types of treatment I provide. Couldn't have said it better myself! I have just over a month left until I return to uni & I'm spending my amazing summer wisely - working, travelling & maintaining my own fitness. I read somewhere recently that when we are well - we have a million of little problems, but when we are ill - we only have one problem. So true! Let's stay healthy 🫶 I'm working reduced hours in the evenings this week as Robbie's girl is visiting & she is just too much joy not to be around her - and I want to chat & laugh with them over dinner & not rush as I constantly have the next thing & the next. After all, families are above all, i'm glad to have mine altogether, at least for a while. Back to full working hours next week & until I'm off to London 🤩

W o r k - r e l a t e d 💙 Been hard at it since my return, thanks everyone for your bookings & referrals. Back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, tension, stiffness, sports injuries and desk job aftermaths.. It's been a rapid week of "rest" after my placements & I'm sorry I couldn't fit more people in, as of next week I can only offer evenings & weekends as I'm back to uni for second semester. As intense as it's been, I need to remind myself that I'm very nearly half way through my course! For now, I have stocked up on kinesiology tape and acupuncture needles & I'm looking forward to welcoming the rest of you back in the studio.

It's been a very busy week in the studio & slightly unusual. All week I've been treating people with a sporting background! I had a footballer, a surfer, a golfer, a triathlete, a young dancer & even a MMA competitor in for either deep tissue massage & stretching, dry needling or all of the above! Typically my week consists of treating people with non sports related niggles - the usual sore necks & backs, often due to long hours at the desk. Tendinopathy & sciatica are common too. I help everyone I can. Thank you for your trust, your positive feedback & your continuous support. My days are often long, with bookings until 10pm, after a full on day at school. But it's worth it. 💙

It's been a busy couple of weeks & acupuncture got some positive reviews. I'm very grateful for all my patients, new & regular! Neck pain, back pain, tendon problems & facia issues - needling is versatile & very effective!

A little insight into what I do in the studio! Here's some pics from recent treatment sessions. A young student celebrating the end of her busy placement - it's a tough job being a good nurse! A busy mum (and her foot) at tendinitis rehab session. A keen surfer/runner (and his dogs) at his knee ligament rehab and general MOT session. And my friend's dad in law who first came to me with a calf injury when I first qualified but since then hasn't missed a session because he believes that regular treatments keep him injury free. I will soon be adding medical acupuncture to my professional toolbox. It will be great to revisit Belfast too, even if for educational purposes! So I am very excited. Very humbled by what a productive year it's been. And I look forward to meeting the new patients I have booked for when I'm back from visiting my hometown. Sorry about the wait & can't wait to help in any way I can, within scope of my practice!

Now that I have settled into the second semester at uni and have officially passed all my exams and assignments, I am more flexible to take bookings. Not just my lovely regulars, but new patients are welcome. Just a reminder that as well as a Personal Trainer with 10 years + experience, I am a fully qualified Sports Massage Therapist, I have gained my diploma through company called Uni Learning, in Belfast and have started my practice last summer after returning from this vibrant city. I am currently a first year Physiotherapy student at RGU which significantly adds to my knowledge. Here's a picture of my new patient who suffers from back & neck pain due to poor posture and long hours in front of the screen. Sports massage and mobilisation provides him with notable relief from his symptoms.

This was the last treatment of 2023! Helping my patient with nonspecific back pain! It's been a busy week, seeing to my patients with Costochondritis, Plantar fasciitis, tension type headaches, fibromyalgia and common muscle tension. Thank you for all your kind words, rebooking and recommendations. I am so ready to celebrate Hogmanay amongst my family and friends! 2024, I'm ready to dive right in 💙
