Julie Giles Yoga Ive been a dedicated teacher of Ashtanga Yoga since 2010. I currently teach online via facebook live

Im a 200hr(Yoga Alliance) Qualified yoga teacher, in addition to having had a regular personal Ashtanga practice for the last 11years I am also a qualified Body balance and Body Attack Instructor, although over the last 2 years have mainly focused on teaching Power Yoga and Led Primary series classes. My aim in being a teacher is to share my knowledge and understanding of the benefits of having a regular yoga practice in your life and how it compliments all other activities you may have, and just how day to day living can be made better. I welcome everyone to my classes, however the intensity levels vary as Power Yoga classes are faster flowing and quite Dynamic, Core Balance has a nice mix of Hatha Yoga, Pilates and Tai chi. Hatha flow Yoga class will suit all levels, beginners to advanced are welcome. Im also available every other sunday for 1to1 yoga clinic or practice sessions. Look out for fully led primary series classes and yoga workshops which are held at my house on the occasional Sunday morning.

Hello folks!👋

Hope you are all keeping well.

Ive been a bit quiet here on my page of late as been focusing on the house and keeping it looking good for viewings.
Got a viewing later today, Monday & Friday!..so another busy week cleaning!! All good tho🙌
I will let you guys know when I will be back to posting videos again once I have more time to focus on teaching. I feel like I’m on a unplanned gap year!!😂 So I’m making the most of our free time getting away in the motorhome when we can.

Ewan, Bella & I have been enjoying a couple of days away up at crathie, balmoral car park. ( who needs a castle!!😂) it’s a great spot for some wild camping as there’s around 8 spaces for pitching up. There are some amazing walks round the balmoral estate & yesterday we did the 20mile hike to lochnagar via gelder bothy. It was epic! Dispite the cloudy/rainy weather!
A fair contrast in weather from our sunny walk up Mayar & Dreish via the spectacular Corrie fee on Thursday. Definitely worth checking out if your looking for a great day out in the hills⛰

Hope you all had a chance to enjoy the beautiful sunny day today, it was a cracker!☀️

Firstly, I’d like to say.. Thank you all for joining me over these past months on Facebook for your weekly yoga sessions..it’s been great to know you guys are there & a pleasure to provide free sessions for you all to enjoy..despite the odd technology hiccup!! Keep hanging in there with me!😂🤪

I wanted to share some news with you all, Ewan and I have decided that it’s time to Downsize and put our much loved house on the market. We have been talking about downsizing for a while now as we are enjoying time away in the motorhome travelling round Scotland and hope to do more trips in the future, we feel the time is right to let our next adventure begin.
We hope to be on the market with Aberdein Considine by Friday next week, we thought it might be a good idea to give anyone that’s looking for a new 5 bed house a heads up first & also to let all you lovely yogis that were regulars at my home studio classes know.
I’ve loved teaching from home over the 5 years we’ve lived here, but sadly Covid-19 had other plans for us all. Let’s hope at some point in the future, I can resume one2one/small class sessions from my new home( where ever that may be??!)

I will continue to post online sessions, but depending on how things go may have to miss the odd session. There are lots of pre recorded sessions on my page to choose from so you won’t be left stuck.🙌

I do intend to start teaching face to face again in the new year at the haven and also embark on offering Transformational life coaching online/face to face also.. but for the time being our house sale is taking my focus/time.

Hello folks👋

So it’s been a week since my last post, and I wanted to firstly say how blown away and touched I’ve been with all the lovely well wishes me & the family have received from you all. It was so heartwarming to receive this kindness and we greatly appreciated it.❤️
To update you all on the situation one week on, we are all doing really well, and are all out of lockdown now. We are feeling really well and getting our energy levels back slowly but surely.🙌

This virus as I’m sure your already aware seems to follow no certain path, in that as I mentioned on my last post, we all had slightly different symptoms. Thank you for sharing my post regarding these symptoms, as many of you mentioned, bringing awareness to this can only be a positive thing.

I wanted to share my own experience over this last 12 days just to give more insight into my experience of covid.

Days 1-6 Mild/moderate tiredness , irritated feeling inside chest, upset stomach some days. (All mild)

Day 7-8 floored! Flu symptoms (body aches/temp/tiredness/ upset stomach) =whole day in bed!

Day 9-11 feeling better. Had more energy and feeling pretty good! Chest still not quite right.

So that brings us up to today, day 12! And I’m feeling pretty good🙌 which means I’m going to give doing a live yoga session ago this evening at 6.30pm🙌

I’m wanting to share what I’ve been practicing throughout this time having covid19 (on the days I had the energy!) as I feel it’s really helped me keep my body moving in a gentle way and also to keep my lungs strong by working with my breath. I hope that you guys will find this useful to keep in mind if you feel you require a calm and nourishing practice yourselves.

I will jump on 5 mins early tonight as I want to chat about the breath and the practice..as when I’m practicing tonight I will be keeping verbal queuing to a minimum as may well get out of breath!! I want to make this as close to my real practice as possible.

So some yoga experience would be beneficial for that reason or if you want to just watch that would be beneficial too..as even breathing slowly along with some of it will benefit hugely.🙏

So all that is left to say is..thanks again to you all from the bottom of my heart for all your love and kindness that you’ve shared with me & my family. Say well guys.❤️
