Acupuncture is the most effective treatment for Bell’s palsy
🌸Bell’s palsy is an acute, temporary unilateral facial nerve weakness or paralysis of rapid onset (under 72 hours), often caused by inflammation of the seventh cranial nerve, potentially triggered by viral infections (e.g., Herpes simplex).
🌸Symptoms: Sudden, often one-sided facial drooping (eyebrow sagging, inability to close eye), drooling, loss of taste, and ear pain.
🌸when this client came to me for her first session, she couldn’t close her left eye, couldn’t blow her mouth.
🌸after four treatments, the improvement is magnificent. For this condition the sooner treatment the better result.
🌸Long-term Effects: While most recover, rare, long-term complications can include permanent facial nerve damage or synkinesis (involuntary muscle contraction when moving other facial muscles).
