Appreciating ourselves for our small and large achievements - love this idea for a daily habit 💛😊💛

In Irish, there’s a gentle word you don’t hear very often: Sásamh
(pronounced SAW-suv, with a soft “v” at the end).

It means contentment, or deep, quiet satisfaction.
Not the loud, chest-puffing kind of pride.
Not arrogance.
Not showing off.

Just the soft feeling of looking at your life, your work, your children, or your own reflection and thinking,
“Yes. This is good. This is enough for today.”

In the old Irish stories, heroes weren’t perfect.

They were brave one day and frightened the next.
They won great battles, and then turned around and made terrible mistakes.
They got lost. They failed. They had to start over more than once.

And still, the bards sang about them.

Not because they were flawless, but because they kept going. Because they tried. Because they grew. Because they were human.

Somewhere along the way, many of us learned a harsher lesson.
That we shouldn’t feel proud unless everything is perfect.
Unless the house is spotless, the work is finished, the children never struggle, and we never fall short.

We look at other people’s lives, other people’s homes, other people’s children, and we start measuring ourselves against them.

But comparison is the thief of joy.
It steals the quiet victories.
It blinds us to how far we’ve already come.

So if the word pride feels heavy or uncomfortable, maybe try this one instead:

Sásamh.

That quiet, steady feeling of contentment with your own journey.

If you woke up today and won an Olympic gold medal,
I hope you feel a deep sásamh.

If you finally quit smoking,
I hope you feel that same quiet sásamh.

If you cleaned your whole house top to bottom and organized it just the way you like it,
that is worthy of real, honest sásamh.

But you know what else?

If you didn’t… you still deserve it.

If all you did today was one load of laundry,
there is still sásamh in that.

If all you managed was a couple of jumping jacks,
that effort still holds sásamh.

If you bought one pack of ci******es instead of two, because you’re trying,
there is real sásamh in that step.

If all you did today was open your eyes when all you wanted was to keep them shut…
there is deep, quiet sásamh in that too.

Your work matters.
Your effort matters.
Your small steps matter.

You are not only the distance you still have to go.
You are also the miles you’ve already walked.

And that deserves to be honored.

So take a breath.
Look at your life with gentle eyes.
And allow yourself a little sásamh.

Understanding the root of negative emotions and the false beliefs we hold about ourselves - lightbulb moment!

Our subconscious remembers everything. Our subconscious holds the key to healing. ❤️
We all have the power to let go of the emotions and beliefs no longer serving us ❤️

3 R’s:
Realise
Reframe
Release

We are often taught to suppress emotions—to “stay strong,” to “move on,” to “not feel too much.”
But in mindful living, emotions are not enemies. They are messengers.
When listened to with awareness, they become teachers pointing us toward healing, balance, and truth.

Here’s a deeper look at what these emotions may be asking of you:

Depression → Hidden Anger
Depression is not weakness. Often, it is anger turned inward—unexpressed grief, unmet needs, or swallowed boundaries. The healing begins not with self-blame, but with gentle honesty.

Anxiety → Wake Up to Your Needs
Anxiety is the body saying, “Something here is not aligned.”
It may be asking you to slow down, say no, rest, or finally listen to yourself.

Jealousy → What You Want
Jealousy reveals desire. Instead of judging it, ask: What is this showing me about my own longings or unclaimed dreams?

Resentment → Violated Boundaries
Resentment grows when we give too much without truth. It’s a sign that boundaries were crossed—often by ourselves first.

Bitterness → Withholding Forgiveness
Bitterness keeps us tied to the past. Forgiveness here doesn’t excuse harm—it frees you from carrying poison in your heart.

Anger → It’s Time to Make Change
Anger is powerful energy. When met with awareness, it becomes clarity, courage, and action instead of destruction.

Shame → Letting Others Define Who You Should Be
Shame is learned. It whispers lies about your worth. Freedom begins when you reclaim your right to be human, imperfect, and still worthy.

Guilt → Letting Others Define What You Should Do
Guilt often arises when we betray ourselves to meet expectations. Healthy reflection heals; chronic guilt only chains the soul.

Sadness → What You Love and Care About
Sadness is love with nowhere to go. It means your heart is alive. Let it soften you, not harden you.

Disappointment → You Actually Tried
Disappointment is proof of effort and hope. It doesn’t mean failure—it means you showed up.

Insomnia → Core Beliefs Are Conflicting
When the mind cannot rest, it’s often because we’re living out of alignment with our truth. Silence, reflection, and honesty are medicine.

✨ Your emotions are not flaws. They are signals.
✨ Awareness transforms suffering into wisdom.
✨ Peace comes not from ignoring emotions, but from understanding them.

Sit with your feelings. Breathe with them. Learn from them.
They are guiding you home. 🙏🌱
