I treat in a holistic way that fully sees you, and treats you as a unique individual. This is why I need to do a thorough intake to understand what is occuring on a deeper level from a Chinese Medicine and Five Elements perspective.

Each treatment is then individualised to your underlying patterns together with your constitutional nature. This means that several patients may come complaining of a headache or insomnia, but my treatment will be different for each one. How I then treat each person is based on what I have picked up in my initial intake, during my treatments and chats with my patients, coupled with my experience, research, intuition and soul guidance, and giving each person the dedicated time and thought they deserve.

I often get asked… what’s the difference between treatment in my private clinic and multi-bed community clinic? 🤍

So I made this little video to show you exactly what that looks like.

The biggest differences? Cost and privacy.

✨ Multi-bed community clinic
– More affordable
– A lovely shared, community vibe
– Great if you enjoy being in a collective space

✨ Private clinic
– A quieter, deeply personal setting
– Sole access to me as your practitioner
– A safe space where you have my full attention
– The opportunity to really drop in and go deeper with your treatment

Both spaces are lovely in their own way and both are based in the heart of Leamington Spa — it just depends on what feels right for you.

For the first treatment I recommend booking private so we really have a chance to do a thorough discussion about your conditions, concerns and overall wellness in a safe and private space without distractions. This is particularly recommended if you have a chronic condition, a complex case or need to discuss any sensitive information.

If you’re unsure which is best for you, feel free to message me — I’m always happy to help guide you.

A good listen on fawning, one of the least talked about stress responses of complex trauma yet often one of the most common that I come across in clinic often.

If you’ve ever noticed yourself to be a people pleaser or attracting co-dependent relationships, constantly putting others’ needs ahead of your own or felt yourself shrinking or being inauthentic in a relationship then give this a listen.

I’m looking forward to hearing the rest of his series on fawning.

Are you feeling agitated, frustrated, angry but don’t understand what’s causing it? We are sensitive energy beings and even though we’re not aware of it, our bodies act like an antenna and we are constantly picking up on, and reacting to, everything around us. And there’s so much anger in the collective right now that our bodies might be tuning into, affecting our (often already frazzled) nervous system.

And from a Five Element Theory perspective, as we transition from winter into spring, moving from the Water into the Wood element, so the energetic changes. We move from the most Yin energetic of the year to a powerful rising upward and outward Yang energy of spring - this energetic change gets us up and moving and stepping into action after the restful season of winter. But if this strong Yang energy gets stuck, you can imagine how it might cause such symptoms of anger, frustration, irritability and related physical symptoms in the body.

One might also understand that if our bodies are already picking up on the collective emotion of anger, how this may be exacerbated by the current energetic change of seasons that we’re currently in.

So if you’re feeling out of sorts, not feeling yourself, and don’t understand why, get in touch and let’s have a chat about how acupuncture might be able to support you and bring you back into balance.

Cupping therapy is one of my favourites to use alongside acupuncture and is a great way to help with inflammation, reduce pain, increase range of motion, improve circulation and release muscle stress. It is also brilliant to move phlegm in the lungs when you have a cough, particularly if you can catch it early.

While it may look dramatic, like in this picture, it is actually generally a very pleasant experience for the patient, and they usually feel really great afterwards. The suction causes tiny blood vessels (capillaries) to expand and sometimes rupture, which is why circular marks often appear. This process draws a surge of oxygen-rich blood and nutrients to the area while helping to flush out metabolic waste like lactic acid.

Unlike massage, which uses downward pressure to compress muscles, cupping lifts and separates layers of skin, fascia, and muscle. This “myofascial decompression” helps release deep muscle knots and tight connective tissues.

In Chinese Medicine pain is considered to be stagnation, and cupping is great to get that stagnation moving and to bring the waste to the surface to be released.

If you are in pain or are experiencing sore, tight muscles, or you constantly keep getting coughs and are carrying a lot of phlegm in your chest, get in touch about how cupping might be able to help you.

Happy Lunar New Year 🧧 The Year of the Fire Horse is one of the most powerful signs in the Chinese zodiac. It occurs every 60 years — most recently in 1966, and next in 2026.

In the Chinese zodiac, the Horse symbolizes freedom, passion, and strong energy. When combined with the Fire element, these traits become even more intense 🔥

In Chinese culture, Fire Horse years are considered especially dynamic and transformative.

Get ready for a bold, fast-moving, high-energy year. The Fire Horse brings passion, independence, big moves, personal change, innovation and major transformation.

But be careful to pace yourself as this energy can also lead to burnout and impulsiveness.

This is the year to go after what you truly want. Be fearless. Be authentic. Move with purpose.

A common denominator I have found among so many of my patients is that they just don’t feel themselves anymore. This can be because of their pain or illness journey, but it can also just be because of life, whether that’s from overwork, having so many roles to play, losing themselves in their children’s lives or in a challenging marriage etc. Whatever the reason, they feel so disconnected from themselves. So this is where my acupuncture goes not only beyond symptoms but a level even deeper, to help you feel yourself again, so that you can begin to feel more connected, authentic and sovereign in your own body.

Do you struggle in the winter, whether it be physically, emotionally, mentally or spiritually? It may mean that your Water Element is out of balance. The Water Element is the season of winter and is linked to the Kidneys and Bladder. In Chinese Medicine we don’t just look at the organs but at the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the entire channel and its functions which is very different to a western viewpoint. Any imbalances of an element are heightened during its corresponding season. So if you identify with any of these symptoms and they feel worse during winter, it’s a sign that your Water Element needs some attention. , ,
