We are now permanently closed, due to lack of demand for our service. Thanks to everyone who has helped or visited us in the past.

A reminder - we will be open tomorrow (Friday) from 11:00 to 14:00 to give away wheelchairs and various items of office furniture (mostly rather well used!). These are for use by anyone that needs one, but please don't take things to sell on - we will donate anything left over to local charity shops.

Leamington Spa Shopmobility is regretfully closing down.

On Friday 4th April 2025 only, we will be open and giving away our remaining used wheelchairs, other mobility aids and some office furniture. No need to book, just come along to our shop on 4th floor, Royal Priors Car Park, from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday 7th April. Please only take a wheelchair if you or someone you know are in need of it.

Items to go include: self-propelled and transit wheelchairs, ‘zimmer’ frames, a small domestic trolley, a wheelchair with motor (needs attention to motor/controls), a high-seat upholstered chair, 3 metal chairs, small filing cabinets, bookshelves, large cupboard, under-counter fridge. All items will be given away with no guarantee and no returns accepted. Items will not be reserved in advance.

As of 1st November 2024, we have temporarily closed. We are therefore not offering loans of mobility equipment for the time being. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Leamington Spa Shopmobility will be pausing its service for an indeterminate period following the retirement of its dedicated Service Manager, at the end of October.

During this period, anyone in need of mobility assistance is encouraged to reach out to VASA, based in Stratford-upon-Avon, which offers short- and medium-term wheelchair loans and delivers to Leamington Spa.

Our long-serving shop manager Richard Collins retires from Leamington Spa Shopmobility today. Richard joined us in 2014 as a volunteer, and was appointed assistant manager later that year. Last year Richard was promoted to shop manager on the retirement of his predecessor Robin Brooks. We, the trustees, will miss Richard's good humour and dedication, and wish him all the best for the future.
