A beautiful last class today in Whitnash! ❤️

I really felt the love ❤️ from my wonderful Little Learners and their families - I'm incredibly grateful for your support over the past year for my little business!!

Sadly, I won't be continuing with classes after half term 😪 but I have had a blast organising the themes and activities each week and it's been a MASSIVE learning experience for me too!

Thank you again if you've been to any of my sessions - I really appreciate your support. And a special shout out to my wonderful venues for hosting my classes:

I'll keep you posted in case of any special one-off classes, as I'd love to keep sharing ideas with you as to how to keep your preschoolers busy.

🎵 When Goldilocks went to the house of the bears, what did her blue eyes see?
A bowl that was big, a bowl that was small and a bowl that was tiny (and that's not all), and she counted them 1, 2, 3! 🎵

This week is a nod to Chinese New Year and will be 🐉Dragon🐉themed!

You can expect dragon-themed crafts, stories about dragons (as well as the odd princess 👸) and dragon related educational activities. 🐲

Here's a little activity we did last week, which is the perfect, easy 🧩 Friday Activity 🧩 for your preschooler:
🤪 Funny Playdough Faces 🤪

All you need is a flattened lump of playdough and some 'loose parts' to create the best funny faces, while also developing your child's fine motor skills and creativity!

We used:
🟢Googly eyes
🔵 Pipecleaners
🟣 Coloured beads
But you can use whatever you have in the house that will stick into playdough!

A happy Little Learner with her pipe cleaner dragonfly today! And matching nails 💅 too! 😍

This craft can get a bit fiddly, but there are still lots of skills we developed along the way with this activity:
🖐 Folding the pipecleaner in half
🔢 Counting 10 beads
🧵 Threading the beads

This week we'll be looking out for 🐞 Minibeasts! 🐛

As well as listening to stories, we'll also be:
🐞 drawing flight paths
🔎 searching for bugs
🦋 crafting beautiful butterflies!

Don't forget, because we're cafe-based, you are fully welcome to enjoy a hot (or cold) drink ☕️ during the class while you and your little ones craft together (and I'd definitely recommend trying the delicious cakes 🍰 they have on offer too!)

We had a great class today, but I was so busy getting to know all the Little Learners that I forgot to take any pictures! 🙈

As always, the crafts were very popular today, like this cute paper doll creation made by Amelia yesterday. 😍

I'm not sure whether the children or mums had more fun crafting today! 😂 But it was a lovely chilled start to the day, and we had some tired little faces once all the activities were over.

If crafting 🎨, chatting 🗣 and coffee ☕️ (not forgetting the amazing cakes at both venues!) while your preschooler is playing and learning sounds like something you'd be interested in, send me a message to join us next week in Whitnash or in Southam on Friday. 😊

As beautiful as the frosty mornings have been... I'm happy to welcome back the milder temperatures this week!!

This week at class, we'll be asking questions to discover more about our Little Learners as we explore our 👨‍👩‍👦 All About Me 👨‍👩‍👧 topic.

What a chilly week it's been!! ⛄️ All the more reason to spend a bit of time crafting indoors, and not forgetting to practise those fine motor skills with today's 🧩 Friday Activity... 🧩

❄️ Snowflake Tracing ❄️ is a super easy activity to set up, and actually looks really pretty when complete 😍
All you'll need is white paint, a cotton bud and coloured card/paper. Simply draw a snowflake pattern on the coloured card, then let your preschooler have a go at copying it using the cotton bud by dotting paint along the lines.

If they don't fancy dotting... just let them paint freely with the cotton bud as it still counts as practising fine motor skills! It's important for them to have fun, as they're more likely to want to do it again next time 😊
