Com muita tristeza, informo que estamos suspendendo temporariamente o curso de Remoção de Cerúmen por Microssucção.

Acredito que a Fonoaudiologia brasileira deve ser progressista, baseada em evidências e aberta à evolução da prática clínica. Esta é uma técnica que utilizo há mais de 15 anos com segurança e excelentes resultados, e que faz parte da rotina de muitos fonoaudiólogos em diversos países.

Espero que, no futuro, possamos avançar nessa discussão. E quando o Brasil estiver pronto para essa conversa, terei o maior prazer em compartilhar esse conhecimento com vocês.

SOUND Lab away day 🤓✨

Today the whole lab got together at the Selwyn College, Cambridge. A rare moment where we all paused and actually took stock of where we are. We reflected on our progress so far, the challenges (because there are always many…), and most importantly how we’re working through them.
All of that in the most beautiful setting, which somehow makes the thinking feel a little lighter.
Research can feel quite individual at times, so days like this are a good reminder that you’re not doing it alone.
Also… there’s something quite inspiring (and slightly intimidating 😅) about being surrounded by very clever people and just quietly soaking it all in.
Grateful to be part of a team that is not only brilliant, but genuinely supportive. That combination matters more than anything.

Today, on your birthday, I had a hot cross bun… and it took me straight back.

Back to that first week of your life, when everything was new and slow and a little bit surreal. Every afternoon I would sit down, have a hot cross bun, and just be.

You were so calm. So content. Just there, quietly changing my whole world without any fuss.

It’s funny how something as simple as a smell can bring it all back: the stillness, the softness of those days, and that feeling of “this is the beginning of something big,” even if I didn’t quite realise it at the time.

Life is a lot busier now. Louder, faster, fuller. But today, for a moment, I was right back there with you.

Funny how timing works.

This morning, an email pinged into my inbox -
a job advert.
Great salary. Full-time. Secure. Close to home.

And I’m not going to lie… it made me pause.
Is that what I need?

Then late lunchtime came.
A slow stroll around Salisbury in the sunshine. No rush. No clock watching. Just space to think.

And it hit me:
This self-employed life, the independence, the flexibility…
that’s not something small. That’s everything.

Security looks different depending on where you stand. ✨
