Gorse, lining the path on my way to visit the prehistoric burial chamber of Bryn Celli Ddu on Ynys Môn. With ancient oaks in the background.
The Welsh name for the gorse plant is eithin (pronounced ay-thin).
Gorse is said to represent the sun god Lugh, as it carries a spark of sun all year. And also symbolic in the Celtic festival of Lughnasa/ Lammas or Gwŷl Awst marking the beginning of the harvest season.
It’s quite a striking plant, with spiky sharp leaves and brilliant dots of sunny yellow flowers smelling of coconut.
☀️ I guess this is one of the reasons why Dr Edward Bach wanted to capture the (vibrational) essences of the plant and its sunny bright flowers.
🌼 Gorse can support you when your mood is quite low, helping to bring in a sense of positivity, faith and hope.
I love using Bach Flower and other vibrational essences in my sessions, such powerful tools in a bottle. Using the mighty power of Mother Nature 💥 🌍
Please DM me, distance and in person sessions (daytime) will be available from January.
