🌟 Say hello to Laura Webb - our next challenger taking on 'I'm a Director, Get Me Out of Here!'
Laura is Director of Client Services at Return Fundraising, and she's bringing real heart to this challenge.

Here's what she had to say about why she signed up:
"I can't wait to fundraise and help support unpaid carers across Surrey and my community. It's such a fantastic cause and there is such an urgent need for more care and support services. There's also an element of wanting to push myself out of my comfort zone — taking on challenges I'd usually avoid. I always tell myself: the more things you do outside your comfort zone, the bigger your comfort zone gets!"

We love that mindset, Laura! 🙌

As for fears... spiders. 🕷️ We're saying nothing. But we're also not making any promises.
Show Laura some love and help us raise vital funds for the carers who need it most. Every donation counts.

🌟 Meet Mark Wren - our next brave soul stepping up for the 'I'm a Director, Get Me Out of Here!' challenge!

Mark is Services Manager at Anchor - West Hall, and he's jumping into this one with both feet and we love the enthusiasm!

When we asked Mark why he decided to take part, he told us:
"I love to try new experiences, and this challenge is certainly a new one! Being able to raise funds for such a worthwhile cause in the process is a fantastic bonus. Having worked in care for over 10 years, and with personal experience of caring from home, I know first-hand the challenges that carers face every day. Anything I can do to support Crossroads Care in backing those carers is an absolute pleasure."

With a decade-plus in the care sector and a genuine passion for supporting carers, Mark is exactly the kind of person this challenge was made for. It means something personal to him, and that really comes through.

Now, fears and phobias? Mark's answer was simply: "None… yet." 😅 We have a feeling that might change very soon, Mark!

We're so proud to have him on board. Get behind Mark and help us smash our fundraising target - every donation makes a real difference to the carers that Crossroads Care Surrey supports.

We’re pleased to announce the next participant in our I’m a Director (IAD) Challenge from Anchor - West Hall Residential Care Home in West Byfleet.

Officially a Driver at West Hall Residential Care Home, he prefers the title Logistics Coordinator and it’s easy to see why. From planning and booking trips, completing risk assessments and weather checks, to urgent deliveries across the lodges and keeping COSHH supplies fully stocked, he keeps everything moving smoothly behind the scenes.

He is taking part to raise awareness and funds for Crossroads Care, and in his own words, is also “available as first reserve” and hoping to beat Boz's Fruit & Veg Ltd and Peaks Catering Ltd along the way.

He did have a fear that Woking FC could get relegated this season but he has overcome that now!

We’re grateful for his energy, humour, and support for such an important cause. 💙
