Loyalcare Group Services We run in Croydon and Surrey areas. We provide housing related support in partnership with housing providers to vulnerable homeless people in our community.

We are a Live-In and Supported Living provider and we work with the elderly and mental health service users, we are committed to promoting independence and excellent care. Through our work we have supported a range of vulnerable people .These include people with mental health needs, people with learning difficulties, people experiencing or at risk of domestic violence, people at risk of offending and ex-offenders, young people at risk care leavers and people with substance misuse issues. Our aim is to offer accommodation based support which promotes independence, choice, participation in the community and the achievement of positive outcomes for vulnerable people. Our vision is encompassed in two words Recovery and Re integration. Our support offers clear preventive benefits to vulnerable people. As a Care Assistant you will:

· Provide person centred care for our residents in line with the 6 Cs of care practice, Compassion, Caring, Commitment, Competence, Communication and Courage

· Enable and empower residents to lead as full and active life as possible

· Observe and assess the changing needs of residents and share this information with the care team

· Help with daily personal hygiene, nutrition, hydration as well as medication

There are set shifts which are dependent on the care area you’ll be working in; however, you can expect to work on a 2 week rotating shift pattern, with the earliest start being 7am and the latest finish between 8pm and 10pm, typically working every other weekend.

What we're looking for:

Passionate and caring people, if you have previous experience experience is preferred (if you do not have experience please still email us if you want the opportunity as we have a great training programme(careers@loyalcare co.uk)). Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2, NVQ Level 3 in Adult and Social or Level 2 or 3 Diploma in Adult Care would be beneficial. If not we can provide these

Salary is dependent on previous experience in a Care Assistant role and qualifications achieved so far, and ranges from £9:25 per hour to £10.50 per hour.

We are looking for live in carers to add to our bank list, this means you will be called for work when it becomes available to us we have packages in and around surrey covering areas from Redhill, Weybridge, Guildford, Epsom etc. We have clients that have extensive conditions to some that aren't as complex

We are looking for a support worker to undertake the night shifts at our womens only unit in Croydon, we would like someone that has worked with mental health before. You will be making sure night care plans are undertaken including prompting medication, they are 12 hour shifts with two hour breaks. You will be expected to work at least 3 shifts and this may include weekends. Current mandatory training and DBS is required, PMVA training is also desired but not essential. Start date: 1st August 2019

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Ensure Service Users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their wellbeing.

- To support Service Users with all aspects of their day to day living, enabling them to enjoy the best possible quality of life.

- Compassion, good communication skills and a calm and caring manner are essential for this important role.

- Ensure Care Plans and other information about how to support Service Users are followed.

- Be responsible for informing the management of any changes in the needs of Service Users.

- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of the individuals they support.

- Where appropriate, support Service Users with personal care needs.

- Actively listen to Service users views, decisions and choices.

- Support Service Users to achieve planned goals and personal outcomes.

- Support Service Users to be at the centre of any planning about their lives (where
appropriate, support service users to develop an essential lifestyle plan in accordance with their needs and choices).

- Support Service Users to become active and valued members of the community.

- Participate in Service Users holidays when required.

- Support Service Users to develop problem solving skills.

- Support Service Users in line with behavioural guidelines.

- Support Service Users to access community facilities of their choice.

- Assist Service Users to develop and maintain relationships with family and friends.

- Use the emergency services where appropriate.

- To work with Service User and Service management to produce and review appropriate support plans accordance with the domiciliary process.

- Recording, Reporting and Administration
To complete the Service Users support notes at the end of each shift
To maintain complete and accurate records including Service Users personal files and financial records . To provide regular oral and written records reports to the Service coordinator on the progress of individual Service Users
Support Service Users to document all appointments in their diaries and to inform the management as appropriate . To read the communication book, support notes and diary at the beginning of each shift
