You would have to have been living under a rock not to have heard evangelical ice lovers proclaiming the myriad benefits of cold-water immersion. There is now a huge body of empirical data to support these claims. Apart from the natural high from the hit of endorphins (best bit IMO) it reduces inflammation, improves circulation, reduces muscle fatigue and is very good for improving mood (again very pertinent to us).

Critically Cross Tolerance means that putting yourself through tough temporary experiences makes life’s struggles seem less, well, brutal; I think of it as ‘toughness training!”.

This time we dispensed with the tubs and repurposed the hot tub as an Ice bath, Adam was, as ever reliably brilliant, a superb SOMA breathwork session led seamlessly into a very chilly hot tub! Well done all great fun X
