END OF AN ERA // This Wednesday was my last day at Bosbury Primary School. It was a VERY emotional day, and as requested by my phonics group I wore all my rainbows 🌈
I’ve been a TA for 15 years (9 at Bosbury, 6 at Suckley) and during this time have grown as a person and as a professional, and made lifelong friends. Most of all I will miss supporting, teaching, having fun with the children, and working in the Rainbow Room … as well as having the daily interaction with the team, and creating displays 🦊
I’m not the only one who’ll miss Bosbury … Otto will miss his daily morning walks, playing fetch at breaks, having snuggles, chilling and wondering around the classroom, supporting children in the Rainbow Room, and being chief floor cleaner after lunch. Although he’ll still be working with children, it won’t be quite the same 🐾
On Wednesday, there was a school assembly for me, during which the head asked the school to put their hands up if I’d supported them / made a difference to them. The majority of the school put their hands up including some staff. To me that meant everything … and broke me - a lot of ugly crying 🤭 That is what I want to do … to make a difference 🌟
I first became a TA so that I could be there for my children before and after school and during the holidays. They are now 18 and 21, and my head and heart are with being more mentally and emotionally available for them, and supporting children and their families in The Pods 🧠
Now starts a new chapter. Podding full time. I will be spending more time at my Pod at as well as continuing to support children at my home Pod. I have a few ideas to grow the business, but for now it’s time to reset and recharge ❤️🫛✨
(The track I’ve chosen to go with this post is my favourite song the children sing in assembly. Makes my heart smile 🥰)
