The Warren Residential Lodge was opened in 1986 and is a family run privately owned company
that provides residential Care for the elderly
We pride ourselves on offering a highly professional care service for the elderly with a personal touch. We accept the residents for a long term, Short term, for convalescence and holiday stays. We aim to provide our residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being & comfort are of prime importance. The home is purpose built with 31 single bedrooms with 5 en-suite facilities. The home employs around 35 staff and staff are selected for their qualities of reliability, integrity, skill, friendliness, professionalism, qualifications and experience.

This March, at The Warren Residential Lodge, we have the honour of celebrating something truly rare and deeply moving.

One of our cherished residents and her husband will be marking their 50th wedding anniversary. After a lifetime of love, shared memories, challenges and devotion, they have expressed one simple, beautiful wish — to renew their vows together here at The Warren.

Due to their age and health, this anniversary may sadly be their last milestone celebration together. We want to do everything we can to make this day one of warmth, beauty and love — a moment they and their family will treasure forever.

We are reaching out to our local community with open hearts, hoping you may be able to help us make this day as special as it deserves to be.

We are looking for donations or support such as:
🌸 Faux flowers, bouquets, table centrepieces or backdrops
👰 A suitable veil and dress for an elderly bride
🎂 A wedding cake or cupcakes
✨ Confetti, dried petals or wedding bubbles
👗 Bridesmaid dresses
🚶‍♀️- Red Carpet or Ailse Alternative
🏛️ - A metal archway or similar

We would also be incredibly grateful if someone would be willing to conduct a small vow renewal ceremony free of charge, helping us honour 50 years of marriage with love and dignity.

We have had lots of questions from relatives/ friends/visitors on ideas for Staff at Christmas, whilst we are very very thankful for any gift at all, we are absolutely drowning in chocolate, cake & biscuits already, so our suggestion would be a donation to our staff fund. Thank you very much

Yesterday we were treated to an incredible afternoon of entertainment from the amazing David Pepper 🎤💃🕺he will be back in December.

There were happy tears, plenty of dancing, fancy dress, and non-stop fun all around. Our residents had an absolutely fantastic time — thank you, David, for bringing so much joy and laughter to The Warren! ❤️🎶

On Sunday We took National Beer Day to the next level with Beer & Tattoos – and our residents loved it! 😄

From cold brews to Temporary Tattoos it was a day full of laughs, fun, and fantastic memories. Cheers to making the most of every moment! 💛✨

Last week we had National Cherry Day 🍒
Residents enjoyed the nations ever popular Mr Kipling’s cherry bakewells and a mouthwatering cherry cake by our Chef Steve 🎂👨‍🍳 that had everyone coming back for seconds!😋

🌴☀️ Aloha from The Warren! ☀️🌴

We’re beating the heat Hawaiian style here at The Warren! 🥥🌺 Our amazing team brought the tropics to us — dressing up in grass skirts, handing out cool drinks in coconut cups, and keeping the rhythm going with bongos and bright leis! 🥁🍹🌴

But there’s a serious reason behind the fun: hydration is essential, especially in this hot weather. Staying hydrated helps prevent falls, confusion, urinary tract infections, and fatigue — all crucial for keeping our residents happy, healthy, and safe.

A huge shoutout to our wonderful staff who always go above and beyond to make wellbeing joyful and engaging. Your creativity and energy bring smiles and make a real difference. 💛

Building Local Connections 💛⛪

At The Warren, we love bringing the community into our home – and one of our favourite regular visitors is Holy Rood Church!

Once a month, they join us for a lovely mix of chats, songs, and a few gentle prayers. It’s a wonderful time to reflect, sing along (sometimes slightly off-key!), and enjoy each other’s company.

Whether it’s a favourite hymn or just a good old natter, these visits always lift the spirits. Thank you to our friends at Holy Rood for making our month a little brighter!

🍫 World Chocolate Day at The Warren! 🍫

Yesterday, we indulged in a delicious celebration for World Chocolate Day, and it was a sweet success! 😋

Our residents enjoyed a delightful chocolate tasting experience, sampling some of the world’s most loved treats — from luxurious Dubai chocolate to creamy Swiss chocolate and rich German chocolate. Every bite was equally enjoyed! 💖

🌼☀️ Garden Games & Summer Sunshine at The Warren! ☀️🌼

Our gardens are bursting with colour right now, and we’ve been making the most of it! 🌸🌿 The flowers are in full bloom, and the sunshine has brought out big smiles and even bigger laughs.

From gentle games on the lawn to soaking up the sun with friends, it’s been a joyful time spent outdoors. There’s nothing like a little fresh air and fun to lift the spirits! 🎯🪁🌞

Yesterday was full of smiles (and a few chocolatey fingers!) as our residents enjoyed a delicious Chocolate Orange Bundt Cake, freshly baked by our Chef Steve! 👨‍🍳 using the Jane’s Patisserie recipe 🧁

Thanks to the lovely weather we’ve been enjoying, our garden herbs are thriving! From fragrant rosemary to fresh mint, chives and vibrant parsley, everything is growing beautifully.

We love using our homegrown herbs in the kitchen — they add a delicious touch to our meals and bring even more freshness to the table.

Fred the tortoise has well and truly settled into life here — zooming around like he owns the place. 🐢💨

But even the speediest tortoise needs a buddy… and Fred’s found his in the most unlikely of places — a snail. 🐌
Fred might be fast, but he’s got time for friendship. ❤️

We love seeing our little rocket find his groove — and his crew!
