💦 Today is World Aquatic Therapy day! 💦

So it was fitting that Rachel and Gemma did a full day course on Bad Ragaz (a set of specialist techniques for hydrotherapy) with someone who helped develop it: Urs Gamper from Swtizerland.

Dont forget to ask about aquatic therapy options AKA Hydrotherapy!

Without appropriate challenge our movement will not improve.
As physiotherapists who specialise in rehab this is what we need to understand and be good at! This activity is not only about ‘a step’ it includes space, awareness, prediction, planning, accuracy, balance and confidence to name a few facets.
Practice is needed to master these skills.

Today is World Stoke Awareness day. Over 240 people everyday wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. This year the theme is community as recovery after a stroke isn’t something you do alone. Be kind to yourselves and ask for support.

Every second counts when it comes to recognising the signs of stroke. Knowing what to look for could help save a life — including your own.

Remember BE FAST:
B – Balance: Sudden loss of balance or coordination
E – Eyes: Sudden vision changes or blurred sight
F – Face: Drooping on one side of the face
A – Arms: Weakness or numbness in one arm
S – Speech: Slurred or confused speech
T – Time: Time to call 999 immediately

These are the most common signs, but stroke symptoms can vary — from severe dizziness and headache to sudden confusion or difficulty understanding words. If something doesn’t feel right, don’t wait. Get medical help straight away.

If you’re a stroke survivor, what were your first symptoms? Share below to help others recognise the signs.

An enormous welcome to all
Our new followers!

We all feel so privileged to work alongside so many inspiring individuals.

We don’t make big claims, or offers- instead we work hard to be the best we possibly can for every patient, carer and family we work alongside.

Hopefully our new website will be up and running fairly soon but in the meantime we appreciate your support and interest here on Facebook. 💪🏼👍🏻✊
