Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a Senior Care Assistant really looks like?! 🌞

Well, now you know! Kayleigh over at Riverdale Care Home shared with us what a typical day looks like for her from 8am when the day is just beginning, right through to 8pm when she heads home to spend time with her family (and frenchie 🐶)!

Deputy Manager Brydy told us: "If I was to describe Kayleigh in a sentence, I’d say that she is very positive, helpful, fun and committed."

William and John at Millfield Nursing Home in Bolsover have been best buddies since January 2024 when William joined the Millfield family! The pair grew up in similar circles at school which gave them lots to talk about, as did their shared love of gardening 🌺

Over the past year and a half they have made core memories, going on trips to the local pub and Crich Tramway Village - they have a very special brotherly bond!

A moment for the Bollywood Dancers please 😍 💃 👏

Green Park Nursing Home recently enjoyed some very exciting entertainment as the homes 'stopped off' in India as part of our Cruise Around the World competition! Although every resident and team member had a fantastic time, a special shoutout goes to Malcolm, the happy chappy who is always front and centre of the dancefloor 🪩

Well done to the team for planning such an amazing visit, and thank you to the extremely talented dancers from Care home activity provider!

Cathy has worked at the wonderful Sunderland care home for an incredible 15 years as a Care Assistant (and Senior Care Assistant!). Cathy is supportive, friendly, hard-working and dependable and the team are so grateful for all her contributions!

Our residents have enjoyed the final stop on our summer cruise, this time experiencing the sights, sounds and tastes of India. Along with the culinary delights and sweet treats they were entertained with a Bollywood Dancer and our amazing staff team ensuring the day was a hoot.

The penultimate stop on our Orchard Cruise - South America. We had Rio Carnival dancers, the 3 amigos, Paddington's marmalade sandwiches and the always popular Alpaca's pay us a visit. The menu incorporated Empanadas, Argentinian beef with chimichurri and Quesillo amongst other regional delights.

Our residents enjoyed setting sail to the USA for the 2nd stop on our around the world cruise. They all enjoyed our American themed party with the soulful tunes of Elvis and some old school diner inspired culinary offerings

Our lovely people here at Paisley Lodge have enjoyed a seaside themed afternoon this week to mark care homes week.
There was plenty of singing and dancing along to the music as well as sandpit games, candyfloss making, coconut shy and net a duck. Followed by lots of tasty treats and a Punch and Judy show , everyone had the best of time.

Join us this afternoon, 15th May, at Paisley Lodge 14.30 for our bun sale. All proceeds will be going to the Alzheimers Society towards their invaluablr research and the amazing work they do. All buns and tasty treats have been skillfully created by our wonderful kitchen team, Kelly and Tanya, and are well worth the trip. Come join us 🙂

Here are some photos of our 80th VEDAY celebrations, over three days our lovely people here at Paisley Lodge have enjoyed entertainer Alex singing all the greatest hits from the 40s and from the war time era. They also had a special visit from Luke and kingkong the Alpacas , and to end the weeks celebrations they have enjoyed a traditional Evening street party .They all enjoyed a beautiful buffet tea with all the trimmings and plenty of buns and
Mini cakes , flags were waved songs were sung it was enjoyed by all .
