This Su***de Prevention Day, we're shining a light on the importance of adequate training and challenging stigma when it comes to mental health.

Mental health staff must have the skills, understanding, and compassion needed to support people in crisis. This includes trauma awareness, de-escalation techniques, and building therapeutic relationships.

Mark Robinson, our Finance Director, shares his thoughts on due diligence in care homes.

After the National Minimum Wage increase, the cost of employing someone at this level is £16.21, before the agency makes a penny, yet we hear Care Managers are being charged less than this for an agency staff member.

At Unity Plus, we believe transparency and financial due diligence are essential in the care sector.

If an agency is charging below the true cost of employment, it's important to ask: Where is the money being cut? Is it training? Safeguarding? Compliance?
