We have made some new friends at home 🏡
🐾 Every Thursday afternoon we now have a visit from lovely Jodie and her therapy dog, Dizzy 🐶
Jodie is a volunteer for ‘Pets as Therapy’ and she matched with us at Weavers Court when I requested a visit.
Dizzy is the most lovely, gentle and patient Cocker-poo. She is almost 4 years old and a fully trained service dog.
Jodie has adult social care qualifications and lots of experience.
Lots of residents enjoy Dizzy’s visits, as she fills the space left for people who had their own dog and miss having a pet.
We’re looking forward to the warmer weather when we can sit out in the garden and play ball with Dizzy 🥎
We’d like the thank Pets as Therapy and mostly Jodie, for spending some very valuable time with us ❤️

While we’ve been off-line, we’ve had a couple of birthdays 🎉
Marjorie celebrated her 85th on the 4th of March and Rita was 84 on the 5th.
In true Weavers style there was lots of cake and singing 🎶
Next week we will be holding our monthly communal birthday party with entertainment and there’s still some birthdays to come this month!

We also had a wonderful afternoon baking buns for our coffee morning 🧁
Not all the mix made it into the cases, but there was enough left to bake some yummy buns! We had fun decorating, and eating them 🤭

🏡 Wednesday at home 🏡
⚽️ This morning, Joan and myself had the pleasure of attending Elland road for a presentation from our beloved Sophie 💛💙💛💙
During October last year Sophie spent 22 days running and walking 11km everyday to raise money for exercise equipment for all the homes she visits.
We are very privileged to be on this list.
We had a wonderful time and met Alex Cairns and Lucas Nmecha!! We even got a selfie!! 🤳

We’re back!!! 🏡

After a short break due to a technical glitch, we’re happy to say we’re up and running again on Facebook.
Thank you for your patience while we got everything sorted behind the scenes.

Although we’ve been a little quiet online, life in our home has been as busy and joyful as ever!
Over the past month, our residents have enjoyed lots of lovely activities, special moments, and smiles all around ☺️

We didn’t want you to miss out, so over the next few posts we’ll be sharing some of our favourite photos and highlights from the past few weeks 📸

🏡 Thursday at home 🏡
☕️ This morning we held our weekly coffee morning. We enjoyed lots of chatter and cake! 🍰
🍕 This afternoon we had a bash at pizza making!! They turned out rather well. Everyone enjoyed them with a cuppa.
🐕 We also had a doggy visit this afternoon. Tammi brought her doggo, Archie, in to see us. We all love to have a cuddle 🤗
🎊Today we also wish Brenda and Michael and very happy 60th wedding anniversary. They enjoyed a quite lunch together and a glass of vino. Sending all our love ❤️

🏡 Wednesday at home 🏡
💐 This morning started with a beautiful flower delivery from Lily’s of Bramhope 🌹 Rachel brought us a little touch of spring 🌼
🔔 This morning was also our monthly church service, perfectly timed on Ash Wednesday ✝️
🍺After lunch everyone got together for drinks, music and conversation. Keeps us going till the weather improves enough for a walk out to the pub 🍷🍸
