It's New Year's eve ...
How many will be making NY resolutions, stop doing this and start doing that....
But how many will find it a little bit hard and quit?

Tip:
Don't look for instant success or results.
The BIG WINS are built from lots of SMALL WINS

5 weeks off from cycling.... processing the loss of my Dad, and only now I feel I can get back out.
But trust me, my lungs felt like I had ants crawling inside, the cold air agitating every inch, setting me off coughing and wheezing.
The point here:
Keep showing up...
Results will follow...

Sticking to shorter routes, giving myself the chance to call it and divert back quicker, I can see and feel an improvement. Feeling stronger up the hills, quicker getting round, and lungs feeling clearer.

So, choose your NY resolution wisely...
Remember, small steps in the right direction is still making progress.

And when you see others trying, remember to encourage and support them. Your thumbs up or smile, maybe exactly what prevented them from quitting.
Get-out there....
You've got this...

Walk, run, cycle, swim, gym....do what makes you happy.
Create the Change
Everything you need is within you
Thankyou for your support around the world

Seasonal greetings to all.
For me, just making steady progress in getting fitness back after a while out.
It's important to remember to be kind to yourself too.

Be the GIFT 🎁
Be PRESENT 🎁

Best wishes to you all 🙏

Create your lifestyle through action.
You are in control of your thoughts and actions.

Today's ride was rad chilly, at 2 degrees rising to a balmy 4 degrees 🤪🥶
But retraining my lungs and legs. Cold air...Not as agitating on the breathing today Bonus 👍

What ever you're doing this season, enjoy, stay safe and be kind.

What is your motivation?

What gets you out, walking, cycling, running or just enjoying the open space. Pausing and taking a moment to just be...

It's been a strange time, a strange few years if honest... moving Country, back to the UK. Moving home, stressful jobs, and purchasing a home. Then losing my Dad...

So, an adjustment it certainly has been.
Getting out exercising has always help keep me grounded. Space to be, movement to shift stress or trauma, creating a more grounded, rational thinking, healthier me.
Having had near on 6 weeks off, I'm going through the tough barrier again. Cold winds affecting my breathing, leaving me with a tickly cough. Possibly all those years exposed to so many chemicals from the job.
You see, none of us are every cured or fixed.
It's always work in progress.

As long as I'm making improvements daily then I'm in a better place for me and to help others.
2026 will see more challenging events to help raise awareness and funds for charity.

I've not been out for a while due to work and then for my father's illness.
I'm sure he wouldn't want me to stop.
A cold, head wind, but dry ride out.

No noise, no fuss....
Just a quiet contemplation and reflection...
Dealing with grief and loss as it rises...
There is no right and wrong way, however, I'm drawn quickly to the opposite and find gratitude and happiness in the memories gained and precious times spent.
Helping shift emotions through exercise.
Do what works for you...

Remembrance Day is hard for so many for various reasons. Lest we not forget.

We are all on a journey, dealing with issues, challenges and limitations.
It's how we overcome them, react and respond that paves the way to our future.

A little deep for some people maybe...
That's because they may not be ready to understand this fully. Still have work to be done

Tbe point here is:
Use your thoughts to create your future.
Lead by example.
I was told at 15 years old I may not walk properly again after a pretty bad football injury. Hyperextension of both knee joints and a huge laceration on my left knee.
Sod that...I was playing again within 3 weeks😳🤣
Lots of bandages but the stubborn minded side of me won.
These last few days my knee has been tracking slightly out of alignment....tad sore.
And all this exergerated by working 24hr shifts.
Today, it finally popped back in.. 👍

So out on my bike for a test ride...
My daily stretching has been moderated to account for the uncomfortable effects, but through action, I've created a good knee again.

Lead by example.
Talk Yourself IN.....not Out
You are adaptable, amazing and resilient

I hope this helps inspire others, comment if it does.
You won't know how good you are if you don't try.

I have to say on these guidelines, check-out DarkSwan or maybe find them via .

Give yourself permission to ease off sometimes...

I did a 24hr stint the other day, first night shift in 8 years since retiring from Service.
A bit of a shock to the system...
Out for a blast today, starts off tad chilly, so winter kit adorned... mistake 😳🙃
Bloody boiling, couldn't regulate my temperature, found this a tough ride.
Listened to my body and called it a short one instead.
Still a pretty quick average speed and got out there 👍
Work tomorrow, and another bout of winds and rain...
Learn when to be kind on yourself.

There's no fan fair, ticker tape and crowd cheering at the finish line......
It's just me against me....
Small improvements every day.

Hopefully leaving positivity as I go...
Results aren't always instant...
