✨What is Hatha Yoga really?
⠀
And how transformational is it?
Its original purpose had nothing to do with flexibility or fitness.
⠀
Traditionally, Hatha was a way to awaken your internal power, burn through old patterns, and prepare the body for deep meditation and spiritual growth.
⠀
The ancient yogis didn’t practise for comfort, they practised for clarity.
They were seeking liberation and inner mastery.
⠀
In Sanskrit:
Ha = sun - action, vitality, heat☀️
Tha = moon - rest, reflection, coolness🌕
Together, they represent the union of opposites. A return to balance in body and mind.
⠀
And in the classical text Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Hatha means force, as in life force, vitality also known as prana.
⠀
So Hatha Yoga has always been about deep transformation for mind soul and of course body.
⠀
Today, Hatha offers a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern life.
It helps us reconnect with what matters most, our strength, presence, and awareness.
⠀
It’s not about doing less.
It’s about going deeper.
⠀
Come experience it for yourself this week.
