To prevent athletes foot wash and dry your feet carefully each day . Paying particular attention to between the toes . Change socks at least once a day and rotate footwear around . Treat athletes foot with a proprietary over the counter treatment. Most athletes foot returns because the treatment wasn’t used for long enough.

Just as the day had ended, and all the clinical work is complete, everything is cleaned down , put in the ultra sonic then sterilised in the autoclave , and then the admin starts! Letters to GPs, clinical note keeping, exercise plans stock and drug orders placed and cross infection control procedures ensured ready for tomorrow.

Forever grateful for the amazing care of our NHS and feel privileged to have worked for 15 years within it as part of my career . Though our practice is private we cross reference and refer to our amazing colleagues.

This patient 60 year old man was urgently seeking help for this long ignored but very painful infected toe nail .
No pressure 🤦‍♀️.
He was waiting urgent back surgery and was offered a cancellation and a chance to improve his quality of life and mobility issues but only …. If he had no clinical signs of infection.
The toe nail had to go !!
So after initial consultation and examination to procedure we booked him in and rescheduled ourselves to accommodate him quickly.
This is before and after 6 weeks of healing , and he now has had his back surgery and is recovering ❤️‍🩹 well .
