Is it too early to mention stocking fillers?!

I’ve made a small festive batch of lip balm; this time in a delicious mandarin & black pepper blend.

Each balm comes in an aluminium tin (roughly 10–15ml).

It’s rich and long-lasting without being greasy, coats your lips beautifully and keeps them soft for hours. I use it every day! They last for months as only a small amount is needed.

£6 each
Collection from Horsforth
Postage £5 (probably not worth it for one, but possible!)

November is the perfect time to start nurturing a fire cider in preparation for winter wellness.

Make your own 500ml fire cider; a warming folk recipe with immune-supporting properties to help ward off coughs and colds.

Learn about each of the ingredients’ medicinal properties and how they can be used to support our health in winter.

Ginger, chilli garlic and a few other allies are steeped in apple cider vinegar to extract their chemical constituents. Learn about research on their medicinal properties, and how each plant acts in the body.

Tastes delicious, too!

Making up prescriptions today

This one includes:

💊 Capsules – to be taken before bed on an empty stomach. These work as antimicrobials, supporting a healthy gut microbiome balance.

🍵 Nervine tea – to be enjoyed as the patient begins their evening wind-down and again at lights-out, helping to calm the nervous system and promote restful sleep.

Herbal antimicrobials are wonderful allies for rebalancing the gut microbiome and easing symptoms such as bloating, distension, and gas.

The gut truly is the epicentre of health. It’s the gateway through which nutrients reach every tissue and organ, supporting repair, regeneration, and optimal function in a beautifully interconnected system.

What do you do to care for your gut and optimise your health?

Think about what you add in or perhaps what you take away…

Our skin absorbs what we place on it, which is why these blends are made with gentle ingredients and nutrient-rich plant compounds.

This little parcel carries a trio of herbal treasures:

Calendula & White Grapefruit Balm-to-Milk Cleanser – a silky balm that transforms into a refreshing, gentle cleanse.

Lavender & Calendula Face Oil – crafted without essential oils, perfect for even the most sensitive skin in need of calm nourishment.

Orange Blossom Face Cream – a soft, dreamy cream with the uplifting scent of blossoms and protective botanicals.

Each piece is handmade with care, I hope they bring daily joy to this buyer.

Today, I’m formulating herbal foot creams that fight stubborn microbial overgrowths 🌿👣

Fungal infections of the feet, particularly, are incredibly common: around 1 in 4 people will experience them at some point in life. These unwelcome microbes thrive in warm, damp places (like shoes and socks!) and can be notoriously persistent once they settle in.

That’s where nature’s antimicrobial and antifungal allies come in:

1. Myrrh – traditionally used to soothe and protect skin from infection.
2. Oregano – rich in carvacrol and thymol, powerful natural antifungals.
3. White grapefruit – adds freshness while helping create an unfriendly environment for fungal growth.

Herbal blends like these can support the body’s natural defenses while keeping feet fresh and healthy.

Mixing up some of my favourite herbal powders today to ease nausea and soothe the discomfort that comes with bile acid reflux.

The digestive system is such an intelligent and sophisticated design - a living symphony where every hormone, enzyme, and organ has its own part to play. The more I work with it, the more awe I feel for the body’s natural wisdom in maintaining balance and health.

We don’t need a scientific paper to know that a walk in nature is good for us—but reading the science is still fascinating. A recent systematic review compared walks in urban versus natural settings and found that time in nature significantly reduces depression and anxiety, and even slows the heart rate. Urban walks, on the other hand, don’t offer the same benefits—and may even increase anxiety.

So here’s something to consider:

How do you feel after a walk in nature?

And with spring in full bloom, how can we carve out more time to connect with the natural world in our daily routines—even if it’s just a few minutes in a nearby park, a quiet moment under a tree, or taking the long way home through green spaces?

I really enjoyed our Spring celebration yesterday at the with and .

We sipped on a herbal Spring cocktail decorated with baby cleavers, dandelion flowers and lemon balm from my garden…and made a balm with Calendula flowers - a pot of sunshine to keep in pockets for bites, burns, stings, sunburn or lips when heading into the outdoors!

We celebrated the contrast between lower-energy winter to the abundance of Spring…and brainstormed ideas on how to make the most of what spring has to offer.

Spring abundance…Insects and birds become more active, lime-green shoots appear, flowers bloom vivid colours and scent the air.

How will you make the most of your summer?

It’s always pleasing seeing people feeling better!

Endometriosis can be debilitating for women, stopping them doing things they want to do in life. Many women have to take time off work as the pain and discomfort can be quite severe.

With a little time and dedication, it is possible to feel better without the need for NSAIDs that can be harsh on the gut lining and impact ovulation.

This was a great outcome…no herbal medicine needed!

What we did:
- Supported healthy hormone metabolism
- Made sure all the raw materials for healthy hormone synthesis were in the diet
- Calmed inflammation in the body with anti-flammatory foods
