Little Rascals Private Day Nursery Leeds Little Rascals is dedicated to the professional care of children aged 3 months to 5 years. We have two nursery sites based in Crossgates (Leeds)

The first Little Rascals opened its doors in 1990 and has developed and grown into two nurseries. We offer a wealth of experience and a wide choice of facilities throughout the North East of Leeds. We set up our first nursery for our own children, believing that the early years of their development were the most important we wanted to create for them the right balance between a homely, welcoming atmosphere and a learning environment that was fun. We feel that we have found the right balance and are still very committed to the same high standards we required for our own children. We are incredibly proud to share that Angela, our Founder and one of our Directors, has been awarded an MBE for outstanding and long-term services to early years.

We were honoured to attend the Palace, where Princess Anne presented Angela with her award, making it a truly memorable and special occasion for everyone involved. The day was made even more special as one of Angela’s grandchildren travelled all the way from Australia to attend the ceremony — a true reflection of childcare being at the heart of everything she does.

This well deserved honour recognises Angela’s exceptional dedication, leadership, and lasting impact on early years education, and on the lives of countless children and families.

Angela would like to share her thanks:
“I am deeply honoured and grateful to receive this award. Thank you to the incredible team, families, and colleagues who have supported me throughout this journey. This recognition belongs to all of us who are passionate about giving children the very best start in life.”

We had a wonderful visit from yesterday during our parents stay and play. We got to listen to the the fantastic ‘zoo on the broom’ while meeting lots of different creatures along the way. This was a very hands on experience and lots of the children held or touched the different animals as they listened to the different sections of the story. A Heartfelt Thank You

As many of you know all our sites ( Giggles Day Nurseries in Gipton, Bramley, and Morley, along with Sunshine Community Nursery and Little Rascals) have been coming together over the past few weeks to raise essential funds for one of our cherished nursery families.

We are incredibly proud and humbled to announce that, thanks to the overwhelming generosity and kindness of our amazing staff, parents, and children, we have collectively raised an incredible £4,500 to support Georgia and her young family.

From Carnival Days held across the all sites – every effort has truly made a difference. Your compassion and community spirit shine through, and we are so grateful for your support.

We’re beyond thrilled to share some truly special news — Angela Mountain, the incredible founder of our nursery group, has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours! 🎖️👑

35 years ago, Angela opened her very first nursery with a heartfelt vision: to give her own children the very best start in life. That vision grew into something extraordinary, and today, thousands of children — including her own grandchildren — have been part of our nursery family.

This honour recognises Angela’s lifelong dedication to the early years sector, her unwavering passion for nurturing young minds, and the amazing impact she continues to make.
