Chloe Johnstone Counselling

Chloe Johnstone Counselling I am a private Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the BACP. Contact me for more details. I hold professional insurance.

Hello, I'm Chloe Johnstone, a dedicated psychotherapist with a passion for supporting individuals. I offer collaborative psychotherapy with my use of the Relational Approach, and my Integrative training allows me to draw from various approaches. Including, but not limited to:

- Transactional Analysis
- Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT)
- Somatic Therapy

Relational psychotherapy emphasises th

e importance of the therapeutic relationship between the therapist and the client. Together, we would consider the role of interpersonal dynamics and how past relationships, especially in early life, influence your current psychological state. When requested, my approach can involve understanding of the nervous system and somatic practices, which allows me to work holistically, considering both psychological and physical factors which may be affecting well-being. This approach is appears to be particularly useful for people who are self-aware but struggle to make effective change. Psychotherapy for Neurodiverse Individuals:

I aim to provide a safe and inclusive environment where neurodiverse individuals can explore their experiences and develop strategies to enhance their overall well-being. DBT's emphasis on emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness can be particularly beneficial for neurodiverse individuals. I'm dedicated to offering psychotherapy that is both empathetic and informed, ensuring that individuals receive the support they need to thrive. Together, we will embark on the journey to get you where you'd like to be. Credentials:

I am registered with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), which ensures that I follow a strict code of ethics and maintain the highest professional standards. Qualifications:

Throughout my academic journey, I've delved into a range of psychological and counselling domains, including child development, social psychology, cognitive and biological psychology, as well as advanced counselling skills and the psychology of health and well-being. My commitment to learning and self-improvement has allowed me to acquire a well-rounded understanding of the field. My journey in the world of psychotherapy has been a journey of continuous learning and growth. It all began with my work as a volunteer trainee counsellor at Bradford Bereavement Support and at 'Just B,' a counselling service provided by St Michael's Hospice in Harrogate. Here, I had the privilege of offering support to individuals during some of their most challenging moments. This experience was humbling and deeply enriching. In addition to my work with these organizations, I also dedicated my time and skills as a volunteer for the Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS), where I was a part of their 'Connect' service. In this role, I provided valuable over-the-phone and online support to individuals facing crises in the Leeds area. The opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need was a truly rewarding experience. In 2019, I took a step forward and started my own private psychotherapy practice. I am grateful that it has been a successful journey since then. This venture has allowed me to work directly with individuals, creating a safe and welcoming space for personal growth and emotional well-being. I'm continually inspired by the progress and transformations that clients experience on this path. I'm here to offer support, not as someone who has all the answers, but as a fellow traveller on the journey of personal growth and healing. Your well-being is my priority, and I'm dedicated to providing a therapeutic experience that is both empathetic and informed. Thank you for considering me as your partner on this journey.
