Huge thank you to West Yorkshire Police at White Rose last week for being so warm, supportive, and full of smiles. Our members had the best time chatting with you and showing off their snack‑selling superpowers.

Scope are running a series of Digital drop in sessions for adults with disabilities.
These are being run in conjunction with hippo, who support third sector organisations through their digital transformation journey.

Drop in and see them if you need help with emails, online applications, digital health services and more.

Today’s mission: do some sensible, grown‑up banking for Nourishing People.
What actually happened: we got excellent customer service, made new pals… and somehow ended up walking out with a free notepad and pen 💙📒

Honestly, we only popped in to tick something off the to‑do list, but The Co-operative Bank said “no no, have some stationery and a lovely experience instead.”
We’re not saying we can be bribed with office supplies… but we’re also not not saying it.

Ethical snacks meet ethical banking a match made in admin heaven.

Today’s delivery run came with an unexpected plot twist… 🍦
We were out dropping off snacks to our brilliant customers, working hard, being responsible adults… and then the sun hit just right and suddenly we found ourselves holding cheeky ice creams.
A complete mystery how that happened. Truly. Zero regrets 😆

This week out trainees have been learning to use some new computer packages under the guidance of our Digital Inclusion Co-ordinator.
Adults with learning disabilities are at a disadvantage nationally when it comes to Digital Inclusion. People Matters, with the support of 100% Digital Leeds, are aiming to address that and to embed digital inclusion across all of our services. Nourishing People use computers regularly, but we are expanding our knowledge and trying new things.
Mariam, Jack and Richard used MS Copilot, an AI tool, to create a Customer Satisfaction Survey which they then copied into Microsoft Forms, Richard and Sophie helped with this Facebook Post, and Jack learnt about photo editing with Paul, who leant us his expertise and took some photos for People Matters' exciting new website which will be going live soon.
